  • the club does need to keep them on a tighter leash.

Why were both of those players not attending the game at gosford?????

All players that are unable to play should be attending home games in support of the team members that are playing !!

How can you advertise being united when players are not supporting their own !

It sounds menial.....but if they had of been at the game in gosford.....the first part of this would not have happened and well maybe the poor girl that was at the end of Watts' fist may not have been.

      • Serious allegations against Watts. Can't see him lasting past tomorrow.

Carney would have to go if he was drinking, surely. He broke club rules. You can't booze when you're rehabilitating injury.

'Noyce said ... if the pair had been drinking, they were breaching club rules.

Surely Noyce isn't stupid enough to throw our premiership hopes out the window because Rothfield decided to drag his name into an article that he had no place being in.

          • If Carney was drinking, he'll probably get a fine for breaching the clubs code of conduct. That should be the end of it...

            • Still hasn't been confirmed if he was drinking..

"Carney is not believed to have been involved in the incident, but had been out with Watts in Coogee after the pair, who are both sidelined through injury, watched the Roosters’ 24-6 defeat to Brisbane in Gosford."

So he was just watching the game with him then went home? Surely people would have seen him drinking... someone said in another thread that he was having lemon lime bitters but not in Coogee? So far theres just been conflicting reports...

Not necessarily conflicting, unless it was confirmed that Carney literally went home. They could have watched the game together and met up later elsewhere.

Makes me dislike Slothfield even more.

He got a fine(slap on the wrist) last time and it seems as I predicted that it didn't make a difference

Noyce on Sunday denied there was pressure on the club from sponsors to act swiftly against the pair.

"I have spoken to our sponsors today and I have kept them fully informed with what has happened," Noyce said.

"We are not going to do anything until we are fully aware with what has happened and our next step is to find out and we'll take whatever action we take will be in accordance to the facts.

"Anthony is before the court on Thursday so it would be wrong to say any more until then."

Noyce said Carney's future could depend on the outcome of the probe, but refused to speculate if he would be sacked.

He said if the pair had been drinking, they were breaching club rules.

Did the Wests Tigers sack their star players for doing the same thing, drinking while injured?

                      NO!, they're not that dumb!

                      • Who is the guy at the club who is actually following up all that Todd is supposed to be doing. AA classes, study, Salvation Army volunteer work!! Is he the same dopey looking guy following Watts in all the pictures leaving the police station. Come on Roosters.....I know Todd is an adult but what is he doing with Watts when the team was playing in Gosford?? Why weren't they with the team? Watts should go not the first time he has stuffed up and he hasn't even played.... Todd should face the team and explain himself..... I think he owes this to his team mates...

The charges follow reports Watt was out partying with team mate Todd Carney and other players before the alleged incident.

                            >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>

The alleged incident is said to have happened at 4am...the time at which they should've all been asleep for 4 hours.

Now look what's happened ... in the tired and emotional hours just before dawn, after party night.

The happy couple is happy no longer, AVO, and if guilty he'll be lucky to stay out of jail.

2,3, 4am, is when all the trouble seems to happen.

Not sure, there's been drama there over recent years.
