I heard Noyce on radio. He sounded shattered. I think he know what he needs to do

If he is sacked we are fuucked.

      Not just for this season.

      For a few of them.

I knew we had to win a comp before Carney imploded.

I thought we would get this season out of him.

It looks like I was wrong.

I shiit myself when I saw him and Mason having coffee together over Xmas and now it seems my fears may have been well placed.

It depends on the circumstances, the club will know a lot more than us but about 90% of addicts relapse during their rehabilitation. That's just life, it has nothing to do with footy.

If however it's clear he's just not taking it serious then yeh he's in a lot of trouble.

I agree that as an alcoholic Carney needs help but maybe playing 1st grade football for the Roosters is not the kind of help he needs.

Whilst the CEO and the Coach are doing their best to help Carney it's clear there are members of our playing group who influence Carney in a negative manner.

IF Carney was drinking then I think that the club should sack him. Sack him for his own good.

If he is sacked, should he be allowed to go to another club?

He would be banned by the NRL as well.

I doubt the NRL would register another contract!

Matey, alcohol is an addictive drug. Billions are spent each year on support programs, research, education, alcohol-related injuries, reducing anti-social behaviour associated with alcohol and a whole heap of other stuff to limit the effects of alcohol. A recent report by the Alcohol Education and Research Foundation found that the annual cost to the nation from alcohol tops $36 billion dollars, with at least $14 billion dollars of that a tangible cost caused directly by alcohol. A report from St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst found that the cost to the Emergency Department each year from alcohol-related incidents is up to $3.4 million dollars a year. If alcohol-related injuries and alcoholism was so easy to fix, then it wouldn't cost so much, and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Then as much as it would crush me to see him go, if he was drinking then maybe he should be shown the door. How many chances does one man get?

Yes we will be but it seems inevitable that it will happen. It needs to happy to destroy the drinking & party culture that we have descended back into.

Noyce was shattered on the radio. He was robotic & monotone in his delivery. He sounded like a broken man.

Last year was our chance but the corrupt officals had to have Saint Benny & the Dragons win it.

Mason has well & truly had the last laugh on us. I hope then cancerous turd does an ACL again. Or even better an Achilles.

I hear you mate & I feel for him however the lifestyle he is enjoying in the eastern suburbs is clearly not conducive to someone with his problems.

He has had a few chances with us & a truckload at the Raiders.

He as to go. The NRL & our sponsors will demand it.

If Carney was on the piss I hope he is stood down / terminated. Although Id like the club to stand by him with rehab and detox as we do have a duty of care. He has admitted hes an alco and we stuck by him hoping hel win games for us, so we should do the right thing by him.

                                Relapse?

The guy barely lasted a week.

If he hasn't got it by now, he never will.
