    Who knows?

None of it should be, he needs to get off the drink.

It's pretty bad when you get banned from your home town.

    • Anyone who seriously thinks he wasn't drinking is in fairyland.

      He has to be sacked.

Other clubs are competitive without carney. While we are gone this year, there's no reason why we can't rebuild - starting today - for next year with some serious decisions.

Like someone mentioned in another post, I'd look to get miller back from the tigers for next year.

What do you think a confirmed alcoholic was doing with a scumbag like watts in the early hours at clubs? Drinking Milo?

            • This Watts bloke seems to be a real piece of work.

              This is from the Herald:

The Herald knows of another alleged incident involving Watts, who was with Carney the night before his arrest for drink-driving.

So why he is stiil with the club who the fukc knows. So much for a new culture.

                • Smith signed watts. I remember smith saying that he can't remember being so impressed by a player in a player interview when he met him to talk about whether he wanted to come back to our club.

                  Pathetic judgement by smith.

                  • For me its not about the alcohol... It sbaout the principle we gave him a shot, we took a gamble, and he has shat on our faces with his disobedience and ill discipline, I will not care in the slightest if he is sacked.

It will send a piss poor message to the squad if he remains after all the chances he has been shown... With his lack of discipline he will never bring success to the club I will guarentee it

We need culture change the piss heads need to go...

Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

Surely this is a sackable offence in any football team...

carney = beer = (something here)

                          Liar.

Interested to know if your view has changed now that Noyce has admitted he was drinking.

The view that he shouldn't be sacked? I've been consistent in my views that he shouldn't be sacked if he was drinking, because he is an alcoholic and alcoholics do go into relapse. It's a pretty black and white view by the fans, the club and the NRL to say that he should be sacked even if he has gone against a promise, because it is not as easy as some would think to keep a promise if you are addicted to a drug. Discipline him for sure. Don't enable him. But don't sack him because he had a drink.
