Carney has assumed Mason’s mantle of poster boy pisshead and disruption to the players and the team. And Carney’s self-indulgent, pea-hearted, don’t give a shit about anyone but me attitude has already infected the other players given our dismal start to 2011 = 2-4.

Carney has promised, committed, dedicated, devoted, obligated and steadfastly stated that he is reformed and will give up the grog on numerous occasions previously and has failed every single time to come good on his word.

We will set a precedent and Carney will be used by all our other players to get “another chance” if they fail to follow agreed club rules unless we sack Carney.

Carney will not recover from this or be the player we know he can be as he clearly doesn’t want too. He is obviously very easily lead and cannot think for himself.

Unless we sack Todd Carney the drinking, party boy culture of our club will continue to drag us to the bottom of the ladder for years.

I am farking livid with Todd Carney, have been all day. I have pro’d and con’d this situation and tried to come up reasons to keep him but given his past, present and very predictable future, I cannot come up with one valid reason to keep him.

We have a shit culture at this club. We have one of the so called disciplinarians in Smith as coach, yet our star player thinks he can lie to the club and get on piss when he's injured. We play like busteds, give away more penalties and have all the intensity of a girl scout troop.
