    LOL!

It HAS to be his last year. Along with a fair few others. And if we are close to the cap we are paying our players far too much money.

Anasta and Minichiello would be the first 2 to go.. Before someone brings up the 10 year salary cap exemption, it doesn't matter if he isn't capable of playing at the level of a top line First grader.. then get rid of Graham, Ryles, Riddell and FPN if he wants out.. I thought Myles had a red hot go but if he wants to leave then so be it. I am pissed we let go of Jacob Miller as I liked what I saw of him and he would be an option to replace Pearce.

We should hire the Dogs accountants.. they always seem to be able to sign plenty of top line First graders each season.

Thought Pearce actually went ok today - hard when you're expected to do it all and you're not A. Johns or B. Fittler.

It's only 8 years according to the NRL website. Went from 10 to 8 in 2006. And it includes 8 years of continuous grade football including Toyota Cup and First Grade. That would mean Perrett would most definitely be coming up for it soon, as well as Aubusson, Pearce and a few others in a couple of years...

Correct you are but I was referring to Minichiello as I have noticed it pointed out by some before as to why he should be retained.. They could have a special 99% salary cap exemption for players whom have been voted most over rated 5 times, are 5/8's and Greek with Uncles named George and I still wouldn't want to use it.

Unless Mini can get back to his best, either on the wing or at fullback, then he may be in that group too.
Gotta say, I was surprised to read that as well.

The only players I can think of on decent coin in your squad would be Minichiello, Todd Carney, Anasta, Warea Hargreaves and Myles. Have I missed anyone? Possibly, SKD but I think he re-signed during 2009 when things weren't going so well for him.

                      Hmmm ... something's not right.

Just an afterthought, are O'Meley and Mason still on your books for salary cap purposes?

SKD resigned last off-season. He'd be on pretty decent coin given his form last year and playing for the kiwis

This farking club is giving me the sh1ts large at the moment.
                          Something's not right there TLR.

How can the Roosters be under salary cap pressure, unless Anasta, Minichiello and Myles are on massive money ...

Still, that's really strange then ... even if you add Pearce, who I left out before.

Infuriates me the extended signing of Anasta by one year. I'll cop another year of Mini, but NOT Anasta.

I rate the guy highly as an ambassodor for the game...but not what we want for our team. He's average at best !

There would be a few players that deserve upgrades in the next year or two (ie. Masoe, BJ, Friend maybe) and they also may be looking at trying to keep Symonds. But there would be a few leaving next year such as Ryles, Graham and Piggy.
