Hearing the same 'chinese whispers' about Locke, but with Hohia going to the UK next year, it maybe just a rumour. I'd say if he is charged by the police, would be the only way the Warriors would let him go. He is a talent.

All those wanting us to chase Hoppa Jr, Uncle Nick tried hard last year to get him, not even the 'old brown paper bag' trick worked. Word here on the north side, is that Manly will keep Hoppa on decent coin. Hoppa Jr is a star.

If he is charged by the police then there would be no point signing him anyway. Would he even be allowed to leave the country? I would give any player with possible baggage a miss at this time.

Is he off contract and they're just trying to get him more dollars with talk of others interested?

So when Perrett gets back, Smithy has to choose between BJ, JCarney and Locke.
That will cause a huge headache if a spot has to be found for BJ on the bench or backrow.
I doubt Piggy or Ryles would be dropped.
BJ to centre maybe? I can see Maubs returning to the second-row now that Anasta's back in the 6 jersey.

No harm in trying again. Can only see him getting better and better over the years and hence pricier and pricier. There are a lot of players who get a lot of wraps early in their first grade careers, but Hopoate is one of the very few who in my mind lives up to the hype.

Kevin Locke would be a great signing to replace Mini but i still think we need a Center/Wing i do like Linnett but hes not getting a go at the moment i would love if we signed him along with Joesph Tomane who is currently at the Titans and started out at the Storm.I dont know if Peter O'sullivan was the one that signed him there

But it would make a nice backline for 2012
              1. Locke
              2 . Tomane
              3. Linnett/Bj
              4. SKD
              5. Perrett/Carney

is it any wonder you all end up crying and spitting and scratchinh eyes out when our players get on teh piss and in trouble? You all want to sign pissheads (not too many clean boys left out there) and then complain when they drink and go stupid!

Either suck it up and buy everyone, in true Easts fashion, or stand firm and reject these drunks.

You either dont give a **** about the image of the club and the game as long as we win, or you take the losses and live with your clean consciences.

Everyone's jumping for joy at Locke possibly coming. i bet youll all be squeeling when he's in Long Bay for assault.

How about we look at Bondi United, Paddo and teh local teams and see if there's a potential Rooster there who bleeds for this club. We need clubmen. and there aint none left.

Which means we have to create them. There's no premiership on the horizon. Dont kid yourselves.

2002 was great. 2003 and 2004 were our chanes and we dropped them both. Now we wait for another couple of decades. Fact.

Re-invention in the real sense not this marketing "new Attitude New Beginning " bullshit.

Same old Easts. Same old results. If Easts dont start pouring serious cash at their little junior base, theyll never buy another comp.

If Locke goes to jail for this alleged assault it will be reported here in the press like this ...
"Potential Roosters player jailed for assault"
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

At the moment, on Locke, it's a tug-of-war. Warriors are desperate to keep him, as they want him as their long-term fullback, but he has concerns that those are empty promises, so the Roosters or Tigers remain a strong possibility. If any though, the Roosters are in front of the Tigers to secure his signature.

Oh dear. None of you seem to have the faintest clue.

Locke is absolute RUBBISH... unbelievable to think he has been mentioned as a sufficient replacement.

                              Towers. Towers. Towers.
