The Sharks showed that they can be out muscles and out played. This team needs to beat the Dragons, we have not beaten them in at least two and a bit years now. All that is required is a simple game plan. Variation in kicking, so kicking on the 4th and not the 5th to not have pressure put on the kickers, have a good kick chase. Complete sets, do not be spreading the ball on the 1st or 2nd tackle because we go backwards and to be patient.

Patience is the one thing that we have lacked in the games we have lost.

Need to run at Gaz and Morris all game. They can't defend for the life of them. Problem is that they have Scott protecting them. I've never seen Mose get dominated in a tackle, so he might be the go to guy to nullify Scott.

It would be okay if he was getting two or three line breaks/line break assists or setting up a try or two a game. But he isn't. Our pack should be much stronger with him at 5/8.

Someone also needs to send Braith Anasta a message or a compilation video of how soft he has been playing the last six weeks. He needs to take the line on. What happened to his agro-ness from last season.

They are very well drilled and disciplined.

Not sure if they are incredibly good.

Problem is Mose does bugger all tackling when he is out on the field.

That's cause watching makes you angry, when you start all your anger is used up in the softening up period

You need to play 80 minutes to beat the Dragons... Souffs played about 70 and nearly won.

They are fit, well drilled, have tough forwards and have some speed out wide. Nothing flashy... Soward doesn't run around like Benji doing funky flick passes or anything... doubt he could if he wanted to. IMO his talent is getting decent range on kicks without cocking his leg a lot and preparing for the kick. Simple, but when they're on the 5th tackle and 30-40 out he kicks long... Morris runs hard and the pressure is on right away (next set of 6 will be coming back from in goal... stuff up and they'll have 6 within our 20.)

Hornby is invisible most games! They just griiiiind and have a lot of patience coz they know the flood gates will open when the other team is tired. We have this history of beating them at half time then getting thrashed... they don't let tries in!

So how will we win? I reckon if we keep the ball in hand, run hard/straight and be PATIENT!! Don't fret if we can't score in the first half... thry probably won't either!! Just defend, play it safe and grind them down. On paper we have better halves (even with Anasta) and better forwards. They'll target us out wide and I dunno if we can do anything about that but pray really...

Good luck I'll be there in full colours!

I'm not sure if Smith is that clever to have such tactics as we have seen the last couple of weeks. Sure he can get a bottom team to get near the top but can he get them to win? The challenge is still there and I do hope that One day he can.

spot on. no other team receives as many penalities. If they were the most penalised team of the last 2 years - they would be sh*t.

They score the least amount of tries from their own half.

I think the Saints are a lock for this game.

They want to go b2b while most of our squad is set on partying.

Why get JWH to run at sAAAAwood all night? They'll probably have the majority of possession and it'll just leave our defence open. It's not big dominating hits that win games (Braith's big enough to SMASH sAAAAAwood.) Absolutely no point though... why?
                              1) Prop smashes 5/8... he's a marker.
                              2) Hornby passes the ball to a prop who then runs through the gap.

Sounds soft, but winning footy is about running into gaps, not smashing people. If JWH runs at sAAAAwood then he'll probably bring himself to ground so he can't get smashed (legally) and he'll just leave a big man out of position.

If you want big hits then you're a yawnion man... they have BIG props coz after a tackle you can lock in and steal the ball. Unless JWH is gonna tie up the ball and do a heap of 1-on-1 strips (something I reckon we should do more often) then a big hit's worthless...

He's talking about JWH targetting Soward when we have the ball, not trying to belt him in defence.
