I think the Roosters management need to retain him, not because he is a Roosters junior but because he has the potential to be great player at either lock/Second Row. The club grants should increase when the TV Deal increased meaning another increase in the salary cap.

If Nate Myles goes to the Gold Coast as well that is money that can be used to retain Tom Symonds.
