This might sound like I am a tin foil hat wearer, but even talking to some of my Cowboys mates up here lat night and they all agreed that the refs are rorting us. At some stage someone at the Roosters has to take this further, as it stinks worse than Pakistani match fixing and has been going on for years. But in saying that you now have Greenburg and Richardson in the upper echelon of the NRL ensuring that the Bulldogs and Rabbits operate on a different playing field to everyone else.
the nrl partnership with sports bet is dubious to say the least. i can't help but think it clouds results.you mention pakistani match fixing - the ICC would certainly not have a gambling company as its main sponsor or partner.

We really only got one penalty. The other one was a kick off out on the full. They had no choice.

During the panthers v dogs game one of the Panthers players gets blocked by the dogs defender while chasing a bomb and the refs give a penalty to the panthers. Meanwhile Rabbs says' I've been watching a lot of football over the past few days and that penalty, was a long time in coming.' I betcha we hear the NRL coming out with s directive for the officials to all of a sudden clamp down on that. Thank goodness it didn't cost us, this time.

It wasn't even in doubt before rnd 1. I said to a bunch of workmates that we will lose the count by at least 5.

            No doubt. Guaranteed.

Low and behold... we got smashed by 8 and couldn't ****ing buy one. And again, the true outrage is that it was never in doubt.

The refs know they're going to cane us and give us nothing well before kick off.

so the average penalties received so far is just above 8 and we got only 2, so far we received 4 less than any other team.

as David Middleton said last season, in no period in the history of RL has a team copped such lopsided penalty statistics as we have since 2005 through 2014.

The match officials continue their consistency Tommy as evident over the past 13 seasons. I have come to the conclusion our club admin is weak by not tackling this ongoing issue of unfair officialdom

I came to that conclusion in 2010. 'There has to be an investigation!.'

shouldn't be really surprised to hear that Thursday got charged with a grade 1 tripping offence, yet somehow we didn't even get a penalty on the night.

What's interesting about these stats also is that despite us supposedly giving away penalties deliberately (mind your own business Flanagan), we've only equalled the highest number of penalties conceded for the weekend. Does that mean the other teams are giving away penalties deliberately as well?

It's the penalties not received that's staggering. There were at least 4 or 5 occasions in the match in which we should have received penalties and didn't. 1 penalty received against a team soundly thrashed has the usual real bad smell about it.

The most disgraceful stat is that we only received two penalties (really only one) and the next after that is six.

Also, the other three sides that conceded ten penalties managed to get eight or nine.

I fantasise about us receiving 8 or 9 penalties....when I do we usually win by about 60!!

I was baffled that we didn't get a penalty for the trip and Cordner being run off the ball chasing a bomb.
Also when we drop a ball it is a loose carry yet nearly every time the opposition drop the ball it must be our tactic of stripping to give away a penalty.

Now that is one far fetched fantasy!

The average penalty differential for the other 15 teams from 2008-2013 was +15.1. During that same span our penalty differential was -229 lol

So + 15 compared to - 229... that puts us SLIGTHTLY behind the league average

Given these gaudy figures i'e given up on even dreaming of a win in the penalty count.
