Mixed emotions with the result today. Although I think we played well and think we have lots of positives to take from the game, I can't help but be dissapointed in a few costly points of the game, SKD's dropped ball hurt , a few one on one missed tackles the Pearce missed tackle on keary to send Johnston over under the posts was terrible same with JWH on Reynolds to send reddy over.. JWH again gave away 2-3 un necessary penalties..

I think RTS was again very strong, Dylan Napa was really good off the bench actually our whole bench was good... I think fergo is still a few weeks away from hes best he needs to go looking for the ball abit more hes defence is good though.. I think we missed friend today to control the ruck abit better we could of been pinged for I think atleast 5-6 forward passes from dummy half.. I think maybe our timing is abit off still even sending It out wide I feel like our centres are getting the ball with no room to move but that will come with abit of game time..
I think our best player so far has been RTS he's been very strong and ball playing had been good

Haven't read much of this thread yet. Will read when free tonight. Disappointing to not get the result. Defence not up to scratch but we matched them. We'll be better when friend is back. I saw an above poster comment on the forward passes we through from dummy half.. Geez we could have been pinged at least 6 times. Very impressed with taukeiaho. Thought he had a great game. Another shocker from skids.

Think he only made the one error. It just happened to cost us a try. According to nrl.com - 142m, 2 tackles, 0 misses, errors not listed

I'd have to see it again but I think Moa was caught running backwards in the line and Keary made us pay, IMO that wasn't PearceOrfs fault.

The charge down was senseless and cost us the game. As of course did SKDs pathetic bombed try.

Overall a very disappointing defeat purely because of rhe soft D. I thought we were going to rebuild the Great Wall of Bondi after rnd 1.

Credit to Souffs though. They're a class above us atm. So slick in attack. Keary is world class.

IMO the chargedown isn't dead mate but today it cost us and it's a 50/50 play these days.

Great game though. We had our chances and they were too good in the end.

We sure miss Friendly. I wonder next week do we go with Maubs and HorrieJnr on the bench???

I thought the boys played well. I'd just like to see Fergo get more involved in attack and in that second half we lacked composure when we finally got that ball with 5 or 6 mins left. For me we lost the match when JWH and someone else allowed that little shit of a halfback to shrug them off. That's a hanging offence.
Anyway, we could have quite easily won the game. A lot of positives.
RTS. Best game I've seen Napa play. And Evans and Tauk......were terrific. We lost coz of two tackles we usually make. Pearce missing Keary was a killer but I think stsae is right. Moa didn't help.
