The Kenny-Dowall dropped ball was bad but as was said the crap defense was the real killer. After last week and last night, I'm convinced that Thurston made Pearce look good last week. Luke Keary stepped up when Reynolds went into la-la land.

I thought the boys played well. I'd just like to see Fergo get more involved in attack and in that second half we lacked composure when we finally got that ball with 5 or 6 mins left. For me we lost the match when JWH and someone else allowed that little shit of a halfback to shrug them off. That's a hanging offence.
Anyway, we could have quite easily won the game. A lot of positives.
RTS. Best game I've seen Napa play. And Evans and Tauk......were terrific. We lost coz of two tackles we usually make. Pearce missing Keary was a killer but I think stsae is right. Moa didn't help.

RTS has slipped into the FB role with ease. Just think he can only get better with more expierence.

Napa and Evans and that Takaicantevenpronouncetherest bloke, they have really impressed IMO.

a very poor kicking game from our halfback was more to blame than SKDs drop ball, when you are up by 2 10 out last tackle, roll the bloody nall in goal, no need to bomb to the wings.Also some lazy defence with JWH and especially Pearce on the fly weight Keary, we lost that game.

SKD and JWH cost us ultimately with the dropped ball over the line and non-effort on the final cross field kick by skids, and a tonne of stupid and crucial penalties or missed tackles by JWH in the last 20 mins.

Have to say as well Ferguson got absolutely monsters all day. Must have had negative metres by the end of the day from how much he got pushed back. Going to need to get someone else taking the 2nd tackle hit up if we want to start our sets positively

Same old story...Souths have all the ball in the first 20 minutes of matches, roll down the field with ease as all the opposition teams do is tackle themselves 'stoopid'...with nothing left in defence at the back end of the game.

I liked that we were rolling the scum on their backs everytime we could. This is something other teams are unable to do and we didn't really do last couple of times we played them.
Despite the Ch9 crap, $ouff$ were getting no more a roll on than the Roosters were.

2 of Maloneys kicks led to tries by us another gave us a repeat set, Pearce's first 2 kicks led to vermin tries, big difference in the kicking games there

2013 and 2014 South's towelled us in the first game and we all know we went on and had great years both times, this game we were in it till the last few seconds, sure there was a couple of negatives that came out of the game but I also saw some promising signs too, a little bit of fine tuning is needed but overall not disappointed or panicking.
