I saw two quality teams give it to each other. It was a great game of league, and a shame the wrong team won, but I'm not about to slash my wrists, I know we are in for a very good year and the wins will outnumber the losses by a wide margin.

Once again we beat ourselves, more then Souths beating us, JWH was again one of the main influences, missing vital tackles, giving away pot plant penalties, , I thought he would of matured by now, but still a blockhead, just when we need him to be in control. Fergo needs a month at Wyong, he has lost all idea of getting into a game in attack, has been dorment in the last two games, a waste of space. Gee we are missing Jake badly, I knew we would, we played better when Aubo came on, so he must start as hooker next week, lots of missed tackles by the forwards, those length of the field tries were disgraful, from our pesrpective, , going to be a big week at training this week, and not too much paper reading about how good they are. Souths are very much the benchmark this season, a good side, well coached, they are going to take some beating.

We haven't been the better side in the last six months but I believe we are the only team that can get them, it's all timing.

We also threw about 10 forward passes from dummy half in the first half that weren't pulled up.
Absolutely atrocious play.
What's going on?
Any one pulled up could well have cost us momentum and the match.

Early season stuff, not worth slashing wrists. We also had to play in the sun with two days less turnaround after a road trip to Townsville. That could explain the big blokes looking tired too. To lose an away game by eight? Not too dramatic.

Disappointing to lose...but encouraging to come back after early 12 nil deficit. Defence a concern but maybe the 2 day less turnaround hit us? Our bench was very strong. Aubo just about our best player.

Can't see it commented on anywhere else, but in the lead up to the try which put them in front late in the game, Ferguson made a tackle on the Souths 40 metre line. As the Souths player was getting up to play the ball (Goodwin or Johnston?), he dead set cocked his right forearm/elbow and planted it into Ferguson's jaw/face. It should have been a penalty to us but ended up in a try to them. Will be interesting to see if it ends up on report.

im not sure of the penalty count but every benefit of the doubt was given to souffs from Chechen who must be on a promise from the berge twins tonite?

So we didn't get away with 5 forward passes in the 1st half?

We were the better side for the most part. We win comfortably if SKD doesn't bomb his try in my opinion.

First 10 minutes, we were asleep. Last 15-20 we were gassed and made some really uncharacteristic defensive mistakes (i.e. falling off tackles to concede 3 tries from nothing). There was only 1 team in it for the middle 50 minutes, but to souffs' credit they hung in there.

Souffs didn't win that game, we lost it.

The vermin were stronger and faster and have a better mental approach as a team. We were not disgraced we looked better with JWH and Moa off. When our bench came on Aubo really lifted the team and our number 17 Mr T was outstanding. I tipped it before the season he will play a integral part in our side.

Well he cant stop there, pot plant penalties must go also, can you imagine Bellamy letting the same players for 3 seasons give away the same dumb penalties week after week, I don't think so
