Seven News has learned the NRL will hand Kennedy an Infraction Notice as soon as today, meaning he now faces a mandatory two-year ban from all sport.

It’s understood Kennedy’s charges revolve around performance-enhancing drugs, with ASADA’s case file linked to the same investigation that saw former Roosters player Sandor Earl accept a ban in August 2013.



As it did with Earl, ASADA has based its case against Kennedy on text messages obtained from various mobile phones and downloaded by customs officials in 2012. Earl has been stood down for more than 18 months, but has been fighting a maximum four-year ban for use and trafficking of banned substances.



The development comes just two days after Fremantle Dockers midfielder Ryan Crowley agreed to a provisional suspension from the AFL, after testing positive to a banned substance, described by his club as a “painkiller”.

If he never tested positive and he doesn't confess then this could draw out just like cronulla. I thought the conclusion was that these peptides and growth hormone precursors were deemed 'not illegal' at the time of alleged usage. I remember posting on here a while back, maybe 2 to 3 yrs ago how his whole body shape had changed in one off season. When he was coming thru as a kid I didn't remember him being that big and then he was massive.

To be honest this means guys like Meehan , Manu , plus Evans . Napa and Tak will not be left out coz of MK getting a run, which I think is a positive.

It may do, but I honestly remember watching MK coming through and thinking, " this kid is not big enough". Then when he hit FG he was huge. Too big. The type of weight that slows you up and restricts your lateral movement. But yes, similar to a Burgess.
