Fergo is still not there. I remember when he used to break tackles against us with ease but I haven't seen it yet. I was sooooo hoping Id see last weekend. I think on form and match fitnes, Idris but I'm hoping Fergo will get out of his slumber.

Im really hoping its fergo , but this is his biggest challenge so far , it will take some time to get back to his days of old ,, but as we all saw last week that shoulder didnt look to good and if im ivan cleary im gona work our right side right over this week and get early ball to jamal straight at fergo , Hes injury prone in time it will be skd back at center mcdonald on the wing

It's not just a matter of not having played for 18mths, he's also coming back from a serious leg injury. Dont expect to see the best of Fergo until much later in the year

Slumber? Fairs fair mate. The ball rarely goes his way. Our attack has usually been directed the other way. And one of the few times it went his way he put on that try for SKD........emmmm......well nearly a try. He will be fine and I think he is progressing as expected. Been out a long time.

His defence was good in round 1, but found quite lax in round 2 as can be seen by the absolute feast of metres Walker and Johnston made down his flank. He didn't miss many tackles, but was on the back foot a lot and very indecisive of when to come in and when to slide which led to a few overlaps.

With no Soward to direct traffic it should be a bit easier to read the attack this weekend so I expect a better showing in defence. Don't know when his attack will improve really, he has a long way to go on that front.

Then again I can't really recall him ever being much of a metre eater coming out of his own end for the Raiders, which is a big part of the game plan for our centres. Might need to get someone else taking that 2nd dummy half run instead of him

Agreed. IMO he's defending well and his attack is getting there. He setup a try for SKD (wasn't his fault that SKD bombed it). Also, that 100m Souffs try coulda been a Fergo try if he hadn't been taken out while running for the ball (not certain, but he was hastling for it and got taken out by some cheat).

He'll take a few rounds to be 100%, but he's looking fitter every week (was blowing HARD during the Manly test). I think once Fergo's confidence comes back he'll get a lot of momentum. Right now he's defending well but he's letting cheats get on top of him in the hustle for tries. Give it time and he'll get that competitive confidence back in him.

IMO he pairs up really well with SKD and they seem to be good mates. I this this partnership is really promising and has a LOT of potential over the course of the season as they get more used to each other.

Playing the best 3 oppositions in the first 3 rounds should help fast track his form.
