  • Attendance today vs. St George

Anyone any idea of how many people will show up? What is expected? I ask because I have two of those "Free Entry to x1 Roosters home game 2011" tickets and it is subject to capacity, i.e. subject to attendance... please do excuse my ignorance but it won't be a sell out today, will it?

get there early, you won't need to worry about capacity.

they will not come and hunt you down once you are in.

It won't be a sell out, never has, but there should be a solid crowd of a bout 32k there.. most of them Dragons supporters unfortunately

I was told they were expecting 30k but look for this rain to keep 10k away

I saw lotsa merge "fans" walking up Fitzroy St earlier... hate the kind who just come when they are confident of a win. Makes me want the upset even more, and makes losing worse.

C'mon Roosters!!! I'm going... hopscotch away from my folks' house.

What about stringing 2 steel cables from roof to roof of the SFS, along the sidelines, then some others back over the top of the rooves...and running some plastic tarps over them to make waterproof fan seating on a wet day?

Or 'sail' material like the other 'sails' at the top of the stands.

                  'Close the roof' idea.

It's misery sitting in the rain.

Seats in the front half of all the stands get wet.
Seats in the rest of the stadium get wet, except the last few rows at the back.

                  Poorly designed stadium for fans.

Looks nice, and every cm of grass is in the sun at midday, as designed.
But it's not a nice place on a wet match day...and thousands of fans stay home.

                  .

Well, just under 35,000 went to the match yesterday and of that 35,000, the majority were unfortunately merge scum stain scum. It was VERY disappointing to look across from Bay 12 and see the Chookpen bays (34 & 35?) with spare seats available while the bays to the right of those were densely packed with merge scum stain scum. Also disappointing to hardly see any people around me with their 2011 member caps on.

You would have no problem getting into the Pen.

                      Plenty of seats, disappointing.
