Don't think the Sharks will take this game lying down. Lot of people in the club will have their job on the line over the next few weeks so they will relish the opportunity to take down a scalp to get some credibility. They have a decent pack so expect a ferocious forward battle. Both new young inclusions Bird and Holmes CAN play.

the shire will typically try their best, as most teams do when they play , and im sure their disaplin will be very high and only give a few penalties away but we will deliberately give away heaps so we get to do more defending. defending is the best way to score points and wins

this game has ambush written all over it, especially if JWH is ruled out.

what I'm interested to see is what Roosters side turns up is it the 2013 ruthless team or the 2014 version that lost games like this.

There is a lot for the Sharkies to play for. The players have been left out to dry by everyone from their own club to the NRL.
They will be out for blood.

          We'll lap the Shire.

Flanno has lost the dressing room.

We generally get beaten by the sharks in years that we are doing well and they are going like busteds. 2014, 2013, 2010, 2008, 2004, 2003, 2002 all had losses to the sharks. Many of them at the SFS.

We aren't travelling anywhere near as well as some think and the game has upset written all over it. Hopefully the team realises this year that you need to try every week and we don't put in a stinker performance.

IF we play to our best, we'll lap them by 30 points. I don't think we'll do that, but we should still win by 10-12 points in the end after another scrappy performance with 40-60 mins of good footy mixed in with some lax periods

The Sharks players got ambushed by asada into signing that agreement. Essendon got off after a fight.........................it spells a lot of anger either way you look at it. This game is going to be a forward ball breaker

The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks will drag the Sydney Roosters down to a scrap performance that will be filled with errors, penalties and lazy defence. It will be a close score line I think with the Roosters winning the 2 points by less than 8 point winning margin.

While I agree we seem to struggle against the guppies at times, our paranoia is not shared by the bookmakers, who have Gallen's roid men at $5.15 to spring the upset. The next longest shot for round 5 are the warriors away against melbourne at $2.95.

It helps our cause it is not at Shark Park - the match officials have been known to really join in the spirit of the home crowd down there.

But I have no doubt Flanno will have them up inside 6-7 metres in defence and taking 7 seconds per tackle to release the tackled player. The worst they will concede will be 1 or 2 penalties the whole match for doing so.

I'm not sure the bookmakers take the above into consideration when setting their odds. From that perspective the sharks are probably at considerable overs. A lazy $25 on them to win over $100 could be a choice bet - if you're into that kind of vice.

I'm so glad this is a day game. I just hope for dry weather. Night games suit the scrappy sharks, where the turf can be slippery.

So many highlights during the 2013 season.

Round 19 Roosters vs Sharks - Robbo offered Pearcey the week off post SOO after all the garbage he copped on social media.Pearcey chose to play and was a standout in our 40 - 0 victory.

They have on Origin class forward pack.......Gellen, Lewis, Ennis, Toops, Fifita . All capable on their day. This will be their day cause they are old buggers and can't do it every week but I guaranteee that they will be up for this game. Holmes, bird, Beale are the targets for us
