He is worth $800K on the open market easily with the cap now what it is. I figured we'd be able to come up with at least $600K for him given we surely, surely don't have too much cash tied up with our squad, at least not with the players off contract this year

There's nothing really in the article to suggest it's more then speculation. It's been rumoured for weeks and there's no real facts in the story. Not to mention how inaccurate these stories can be.

Would be a bad thing for him to leave. The warriors coach is no robbo let me tell you, and if RTS spends another 2-3 years here, he could demand over a mil a season in a few years time.
