Remember JWH was signing with Canberra for a mil... Taumalolo was seconds from signing with the Warriors for similar... Merrin, Tedesco et al were all signing with us.

Have faith that Roger will make the right decision. The Warriors have wasted so much talented over the years.

Fingers crossed! I wish they had signed Taumalolo.

I'd assume Vossy has pretty close ties with NZ given he was their sole commentator for a year or so.

If Tomkins is staying there's no chance that they could afford RTS.

Sam Tomkins is open to extending his stay in Auckland beyond his current contract which expires at the end of 2016.
The 25-year-old, who returns to the Warriors' lineup against Canberra tonight after missing the season opener with a hamstring injury, was the subject of considerable conjecture last season, with speculation that he may depart before the end of his full term at Mt Smart.
But the former Wigan fullback says he would consider lengthening his time in New Zealand, although his immediate focus is to help lock in some success at the Auckland club.
"I'd be completely open to [staying longer]," Tomkins told the Herald on Sunday. "It depends where the Warriors were and if they wanted me to stay and if I wanted to at that point.
"But right now I'm concentrating on making this season a successful campaign for me and the team. With this squad, if we can all play to the best of our abilities, there is no reason we can't get right amongst it."

If he does leave, I don't think I can support him for the rest of the year. I hate the idea of someone playing for the club, knowing that he will be playing elsewhere next year.
What a waste of time and effort for the club if he leaves.
                Fergo to fullback.

An update on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's future is expected today with the Warriors reportedly close to signing the Roosters and Kiwis flyer.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported this morning that the Warriors are on the verge of agreeing a deal worth $800,000 with the fullback starting next year, double what the Roosters are willing to pay in their attempts to keep the Kiwi international and stay under the salary cap.
Both the Roosters and Warriors were unavailable for comment today but a source close to the player told the Herald an announcement on the 21-year-old's plans is expected to be made today.
The loss of Tuivasa-Sheck would be a big blow for the Roosters, who groomed the former Otahuhu College student as the long-term solution at fullback following the retirement of Anthony Minichiello.
The Warriors have struggled in their attempts to make a free agent splash for next season, missing out on the likes of Kieran Foran, Jason Taumalolo and Trent Merrin already.
Tuivasa-Sheck has been in scintillating form for the Roosters this year.

He become just the 13th player in the NRL to run for more than 300 metres in a game during the Roosters' last-start loss to the Sharks.
If the Warriors are to sign him, it could signal the end of Englishman Sam Tomkins' stint with the club, who may return to the Super League.

If he was to sign with them, we also have the right to persuade him to stay until round 13 I think.

There was an article back when we signed RTS saying the warriors were furious that we signed him, maybe this was always his way of repaying them.

I don't believe he was ever in the Warriors system.

Sydney Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan says the NRL club are anxious to retain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, but won’t be able to “go anywhere near” the Warriors’ reported offer of $800,000 to sign the star fullback.
The Auckland-based side are understood to have been aggressively pursuing the 21-year-old quick-stepping Kiwi, who comes off contract at the end of the season.
According to Fairfax Media, the club is close to agreeing a lucrative deal worth upwards of $800,000 a year – double the $400,000 odd the Tricolours have reportedly offered to keep him.
Canavan admitted that to lose Tuivasa-Sheck would be a huge setback for the Roosters, who spent time developing the talented youngster as their long-term fullback following the retirement of captain Anthony Minichiello at the close of last season.
“We’re very keen to keep him, but we do have a thing called the salary cap,” he told AAP.
“If the reported figures are correct from other clubs, we can’t go anywhere near that.”
Tuivasa-Sheck has been in blistering form this season, scoring a try and running a whopping 314 metres in the Roosters’ shock home loss to Cronulla on Sunday.
Canavan said the Roosters had started negotiations in a bid to secure the Kiwi international’s future at Bondi beyond 2015.
He said Tuivasa-Sheck’s manager travelled to Australia over the weekend for talks, but the club had not been given any official word about his potential return to Auckland.
“Most of the discussion from our end has transpired, now it’s a matter of sit back and wait and see,” Canavan said.
“We haven’t formally heard anything from the manager. We’ve had our discussions, we’re obviously very much aware of interests from other clubs, particularly the Warriors.”
The Warriors have money to burn on a big-name signing after missing out on Manly’s Kieran Foran, the Dragons’ Trent Merrin and North Queensland’s Jason Taumalolo.
There is also speculation the club’s English fullback Sam Tomkins is keen to return to his former Super League club Wigan.
A host of big-name Roosters stars are off contract at the end of 2015, including James Maloney, Daniel Tupou and Shaun Kenny-Dowall.
But Canavan said Tuivasa-Sheck was the immediate priority.
“Our preference is to retain Roger before we do anything else.”
Forwards Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Dylan Napa have re-signed until the end of the 2017 season.
