I'm just hoping we're plotting one last play. I am optimistically hoping that signing with the Warriors so quickly (by all accounts we only opened negotiations last week) was an insurance policy, knowing it gave us 2 months to get close.

I don't buy the "he wanted to go home" crap... If he wanted to go back to NZ, they only needed to offer the same as us, not blow our offer out of the water.

You must be fishing but I will point out some things to you anyway:

      1. He was the best winger in the world in his debut season;
      2. He was one of our best last season - even though he was constantly being shifted around; and
      3. In the Sharks game he scored a spectacular try and ran more meters than any roosters player since records began.

To question his ability makes you look spiteful. To say he should be dropped makes you look stupid. To say you won't cheer for him makes you look narrow-minded because you cheer for the club not individual players.

Now confirm you are fishing so we can go back to thinking you have some idea what you are on about.

We won't pay him $800K so I would be surprised if there was any chance of a backflip.

Imagine if we did. He would be the highest paid player after being disloyal. It would rip the club apart.

You go it right in your first four words. More boring that any of Turks' crew.

          Willowesk even.

I know we won't pay him $800k, but what if Uncle Nick calls him into his office for a chat... Very rarely does Uncle Nick not get his way. Or what about the other boys getting in his ear? This seems to have blindsided everyone at the club. Tedesco forfeiting 500k by re-signing for the Tigers, so it could happen.

As a 21 year old kid and getting offered 800k to go home it would no doubt be very tempting, and you can understand why he decided to jump at it, you'd be crazy not too. However I hope Uncle Nick lets him realise that whilst the club couldn't offer him 800k, there are many more benefits of staying at the roosters.
              - becoming a club legend ensures you will always be looked after in the future.
              - he will definitely develop in a team which has been very similar to that since he debuted and will continue to be similar over the next 5 years or so
              - improving his play over the next year or two could see him demand more than 1 million in the future. I'm not saying that couldn't happen at the warriors, but it would definitely happen at the roosters
              - he has great premiership potential here where there is a historical winning culture; he has already won one premiership so knows the feeling.
              - he has one of the best fullbacks of the modern generation as his personal tutor (he himself already said mini was the best defensive fullback in the comp when he was playing) so will no doubt develop his game.

Hopefully uncle nick site down and explains this to him.

                Spiteful?
                Could be.

Best winger in the world in his debut season?
If I remember correctly he was 'never' on his wing in defence, 'always' wandering around infield, with opposition wingers simply strolling past him for tries...tries after tries after tries.
Did he tackle anyone in the Sharks game?
What he did do was kill our momentum stone dead at one stage with his major blunder...he wasn't the only one.
                We lost the match.

                Cheer for him now?
You must be joking...he just stuffed our season.
We gave him everything, made him who he is...and he repays us by slapping us in the face. POS and our coaching staff/club/officials have a right to feel gutted.

Is his brother going home with him?

                • They definitely have a right to feel gutted. But you can bet your bottom dollar they will be supporting him for the rest of this season.

                  • Hi everyone.

I'm a Warriors fan and am interested to read all your thoughts in relation to the RTS signing.

First of all, I can understand why you would all be disappointed at losing such a young talent but lets not kid ourselves.....you guys have signed a lot of stars over the past few years from other clubs and now seem to be crying foul when the same is done to you.

Firstly, James Maloney, who most of you seem to want to part with now judging by the reactions on this board. Maloney was a nobody, an after thought, someone who pretty much didn't play first grade at. We at the Warriors gave him a chance, a lifeline which he made the most of. He helped get us to the 2011 Grand Final, he was talked about as an Origin hopeful and at 25 was coming into his prime. Then come early 2012 we hear he has been snapped up by the Roosters, once he had made this decision, his performances were never the same for us and we lost pretty much the best 6 we've had in our short history after having been the ones to give him his shot and allow him to develop. Now you hate the Warriors when we do the same to you? Please.

Secondly.....you profess loyalty in that RTS should be loyal to your club? What for?! Rugby league is a business and let me assure you, were RTS to be on the receiving end of a major/career ending injury then I'm absolutely sure he would be put out to pasture, as he would for any NRL club. He owes your club nothing, in fact you have been lucky to have him. He has always wanted to play for the Warriors, just like Maloney always wanting to play for a Sydney club. If his form digressed then you same forumers harping on about loyaly would be the first to demand his departure like you seem to be doing over Maloney, SKD and Tupou, guys who helped you win a premiership!

Thirdly, your club made this outstanding young talent a paltry offer, a low ball offer. The Warriors have always had RTS in their sights and were happy to pay him what he was worth and now as such he is coming home, its that simple.

Warriors fans are excited to have him coming, we are aware of the true talent of the kid and that his best is ahead of him and hopefully he can turn the club around despite losing a player of Tomkins class in the process. However none of us feel it is a done deal until after round 13, there is still a lot that can happen.

But for you guys to be complaining or disappointed at RTS so called lack of loyalty and annoyed at the Warriors for snaffling him when you guys have done the same countless times to every other club including us is laughable. You talked about having developed the kid, well every club loses young talent they have developed and like I said you have done the same plenty of times to others. You guys got away with salary cap restraints for so long and were able to field super human teams, I'm glad the NRL finally seem to be cracking down on this and thus creating a far more even playing field. You guys have enough advantage as it is being based in central Sydney, you don't need unlimited funds as well.

Anyway, you guys will move on and still be a strong club, you have always rebounded quickly and have had some of the games all time greats play for you and I'm sure this will be no different.

Don't waste our time developing young NZ talent...first chance they get they'll likely rack off home to play for the Warriors.

NZ shouldn't even be in our competition.

Schubert no longer does the auditing.

It's now handled by the lack of integrity unit.

This makes it easier for the NRL to push the brand that best suits their business model.

                                Interesting but it Massoud.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck’s $2.5 million deal with the Warriors has destroyed a five-year plan that his current club, the Roosters had devised to regenerate their spine.
The Roosters saw Tuivasa-Sheck as their long-term five eighth, and were plotting to move him from fullback in 2018 or 2019 – enough time for current pivot James Maloney to see out his career at Bondi Junction.
During the same time, they were planning to blood boom teenager Latrell Mitchell on the wing, before shifting him to fullback in place of Tuivasa-Sheck. Suddenly the Roosters don’t have a ready-made No. 1 for 2016, with Blake Ferguson now expected to command more money to shift there. That spells good news for Shaun Kenny-Dowall, who will need to be kept in the centres, but the jury is still out on Maloney.
Officials are not prepared to offer him more than $450,000-a-season to stay, their resolve only strengthened by last Sunday’s forgettable performance against the Sharks. Ironically, Cronulla has been the main threat for Maloney’s services – but that could also change after his round five flop.
As for Tuivasa-Sheck, the Roosters were genuinely shocked to learn of his decision to leave. They are also angry at his New Zealand based manager for failing to give them a final chance to keep him. Coach Trent Robinson only found out during a one-on-one video review session on Monday, when he raised the player’s future. “Oh . . . Don’t you know about that?” Tuivasa-Sheck asked. “No,” Robinson replied. It was then left for an emotional Tuivasa-Sheck to break the difficult news personally. The Roosters had offered him a two-year deal worth just over $1 million to stay, but might have found more money had they known the situation was so critical.
The NRL’s Round 13 rule gives them another eight weeks to convince him to stay – and be rest assured they’ll be doing everything to change his mind.
