How good was that. Imagine being able to ply for him. You would run through a brick wall.

Probably one of the reasons why guys like JWH, Guerra, Pearce Cordner, and Friend knocked back much larger offers to re-sign over the last two years.

He'd have to say something after mismanaging our cap so badly.

Losing RTS is a complete balls up.

He's hands down the most promising player on our roster.

          Robbo, you blew it.

            Can't argue with that either.

Robbo didn't blow anything. That's such a simplistic way of viewing things.

It's clear that RTS' manager pulled a swifty. And you'd have to be naive to assume he wasn't given a brown paper bag by the Warriors to deliver RTS in such secrecy, denying us the opportunity to put in a final offer. Afterall this is a club that could afford to pay Wigan a 1.2 million buy out for Tomkins.

Besides, Canavan is more responsible for player negotiations than Robbo. Not that I blame him either.

Had they not had the reservations about whether he could play fullback and stitched him up before Tomkins shiit himself this thread doesn't exist.

Also, we weren't going to come close to $800K so the last chance doesn't matter.

As if it's not Robbo's responsibility to manage the roster.

Massive loss, big old dropped ball.

Perhaps Trent "Robbo" Robinson did indeed make an error in judgement whether that be in delaying talks with Roger Tuivasa Sheck or undervaluing the young man however it is how Mr Robinson responds that is of greater importance. The player has signed for another club and it is far more important to move forward and find a suitable replacement than it is to dwell on hindsight.

It's no one's fault. We have been very fortunate to have a roster that is worth much more than the present salary cap. Circumstances around fergo, friend and Jennings allowed that. Rts I'd a deadset weapon and worth well more than 400k. What can we do? The only way we could have kept him would have been shedding about 4 players and dismantling the team. And even then he may have decided to go back to nz.

JT this is the crux of it Roosters have a great roster because the wealth is spread amongst so many talented individuals not squandered on one " Miracle boy " like some clubs, this club sees the benefit of equal work equal pay that is what is keeping the current crop together and why so many have signed for unders to stay together.

Roger should grab the money while it is being offered , but it wont buy them a GF or guarantee others in the side won't resent the offer made at their expense .

                            Time will tell.

"We're the Roosters, we'll be fine" is worthy of a banner.

                              What a legend.
