  • Omar Slaimankhel

I saw this kid's name randomly mentioned as a likely Roosters signing in a few Daily Tell-u-cr@p articles.

Warriors NYC, Japanese rugby... would he be able to step into a FB role at Bondi?

Couldn't hack it on the wing for the warriors, so he is not going to be anything special for us.

Excellent defensive player. Scored a lot of tries at u20 level. He never looked great at the Warriors on the wing but when he did play first grade which wasn't very often his hamstring was always heavily strapped, he looked short of a yard of pace but it could have been injury. He's a better fullback than winger. I'm not convinced he was anything special on attack though. But he is still young and he was never given a real shot at the Warriors to be fair.

I don't mind the kid. He was always going to be a full back, but was behind Locke and Fiishiiahiiii at the Warriors. I know they had big hopes for him.

If we can get him cheap he might turn out to be good business.

I agree with your statement and have highlighted the most important word.

We do not need to concern ourselves with the unwanted scraps of poor teams such as the Auckland Warriors. I would have hoped our club could aim a little higher than a player of this quality.

I can just hear ray warren trying to say Sio Siua Taukeiaho passes to Omar Slaimankhel for a try in the corner. it all started from a wonderful pass from Poasa Faamausili,.. it will take the old carnnnnt ages to say it right

He'll give up half way through that sentence and just start calling them all dark fellas. They all look the same anyway as he said in the coverage of our game against the Sharks.

Can we give them Warren and get Richie back please?

Yeah WTF was that?!?!? Something along the lines of 'I'm sorry but they all look the same... all these islanders.' Surprised he didn't get in trouble for that one.

                    What a tool...

So he scored a lot of tries but was nothing special in attack??? 44 tries in 44 games would suggest he knew something about running the footy

I'm excited to be apart of such a successful team. I want to also thank you all for the kind words of support.

Makes sense I suppose. Will allow a better procession for Latrell.

Seems to suggest reports we thought Roger was staying were off the mark.

That is correct just like I said. I said he scored a lot of tries so saying he scored 44 tries in 44 games proves what? He was not a game breaker in the young Mini or RTS mould, he was a good supporting fullback who was the final receiver on the end of a lot of tries and I think we can all agree the defense in U20 is mediocre to say the least. . The Warriors have in recent years had a strong u20 and he was able to take advantage of that, granted he knows where to be at the right time and that in itself is an asset but when he got to first grade he was not a force with ball in hand. His ability to beat his man one on one is marginal and he struggles to create things. That said he is excellent defensive, he's a rock and a good supporting player who showed decent speed in the juniors but always seemed to be hurt when getting his chance in first grade. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt you have watched the kid play much, I dont think he offers much in attack, quoting stats of tries scored at u20 does not change my opinion when I full well knew he scored a lot of tries.

You have some hard yards to make up "RTS Fan" before you can be treated with anything but disdain.

You came on here to gloat when all of us were down from Roger leaving. And then you have a shot at us.

                              You're on probation.
