  • You can look at individual mistakes and penalties that may have cost us the game but the bottom line is the simple fact that we got outplayed in the forwards, just like last week.

Noticed this too, and no they didn't. They thought it hit the cross bar, it was definitely a knock on.

Most of you have become so used to it i don't think you even realise anymore how ****ed by the officials we are.

I still don't even know Brisbane received that final penalty which led to the try to make it 18 all.

I'm over it. We're all emotionally invested in a sport that's fixed.
Tommy, I noticed the Roosters didn't receive a penalty in the second half and knew they wouldn't. It all makes sense to me now why coach smiley instructed his team to "take the two" three times.

I said it at half time and I'll say it again here; the Roosters are a dumb team and tonight was only the latest episode in the series of stupidity the Roosters have displayed over the years.

Where is the following in the Roosters game?
        - second phase play
        - the respect for the ball
        - the composure in pressure situations
        - the putting the ball through the hands on the sixth
        - the effort to get up for a quick play the ball or earn a penalty
        - the pushing the tackled player back after initial contact
        - the elimination of pot plant penalties

I don't know how much more of this I can take in terms of the Roosters being unfairly treated by the officials.

What a shyte week in Rooster land this has been.

        • I finally think the NRL through the refs have beaten us into submission. We are a shadow of the team we were in previous seasons, the last fortnight previous sides would have smashed our opponents by 30 plus.
Just watching that clown Thiaday go JWH all night full well knowing he has complete impunity was enough for me.

          • Oh noooos, the nrl Illuminati are controlling the referees again. It's all there fault Pearce can't kick a field goal too. Pass me the tin foils lol

Who picked it up? If it was another Bronco then it would be off side.

We used to be able to beat the opposition AND the referees. Now, we just make ourselves look stupid by failing to overcome the opposition, the referees and ourselves.

JWH who was actually offside from the kick. But play continued until time ran out.

He was put onside when Maranta played at it.

I can't see a clear system that we can fall back on in pressure situations.

When the heat is on, we fall apart with poor decision making.

This is so unlike 2013 which i find baffling as the core of the squad and the coach are still the same.

If anything, this aspect of our game should be on auto pilot.

I didn't even bother watching it. NRL is a bore I stopped watching other teams games 2 years ago. I cannot believe I'm not watching as much Roosters games any more.

The refs and the dumb changes to the rules plus the dickheads running the game have lost me.

NRL is now a game which somewhat resembles rugby league...much like WCW is a sport.

There are so many better things to do on Friday night than get depressed watching dreadful football which is officiated by corrupt referees.

                          Rant over!

                          • I think we lack a ball playing backrower. Someone who pops their head thru and offloads. I thought this was in Kane Evans game but I haven't seen it.Maybe coz he is playing thru the middle all the time. The others just hit the ball up and go to ground. Where is the Bryan Fletcher or the SBW?
And I don't mean another SBW. Just someone who can turn the match.
I was at the game and thought Toups and Jennings were dreadful. Honestly don't know what's doing with them.
                            Thought skd was good tho.

                            • SKD played well. Dunno why they give Topou the ball close to the line sides just rag doll him every sides onto him.

                              • With bombs to the wingers being basically uncontested due to the refs not penalising players for running chasers off the ball, Toops becomes a bit of a liability. If he signs with Parra, I can see Mitchell taking his spot once he turns 18.

On another note, was I the only one who thought Friends service from dummy half was poor in the closing stages?
