  • Mini's Broken Finger

will be interesting to see how long if at all Mini is out due to a broken finger sustained in yesterdays loss to St Merge.

with a bye the week after the Titans match it might be worthwhile to give either Naughton or Kheirallah a run to see how they handle first grade.

for me Kheirallah would be a good option he has good pace/footwork and is a natural tryscorer, yes his defence is a little suspect but its can't be worse than what we have now with Mini.

OMG...his defense? right so I supposed he was supposed to stop Cooper and Morris by himself and Boyd when he waltz passed Anasta and also supposed to have been there to catch Carneys dropped bomb. yet your willing to put someone there that hasn't been there before and their defense is known as suspect. This isn't a trial competition.

Anasta to fullback!! Kheirallah to the halves

But in all seriousness I can't say minis defense has been bad lately

I think Mini defends ok. His problem is he thinks he is a playmaking fullback like Boyd.

I'd give Naughton a go first.

I sorta wanna see Mini out just to see a youngest been given a chance to get a crack

Is he out or they going to see how he is feeling before the game at this stage

53 recives for Mini yesterday... that's bordering crazy. A lot of 5/8ths don't even receive that amount of ball in game.

The game has moved on and Mini's not made for the role of the modern day fullback especially not the role Smith wants him to play. I think he's still got value as a winger though.

Can a broken finger put you out for the year?

Dont really see Naughton as a fullback tbh, just a winger, and a good one. Does he even ball play abit?
I'd go with Kheirallah he's got the full package, for a fullback. Dont understand why the keep putting him at halfback, reminds me of Towers, they did the same thing.
But it was good to see him at fullback on saturday finally, thanks to Lazarus.

                  Defence ok?

Last year he missed about 35% of the tackles attempted.

As he is the last line a lot of them ended in tries.

His defense was terrible when he was at his best.

                  Now it is an embarrassment.

This season I have seen the light.

Last year, out of the many hundreds of players that played NRL only two made more mistakes than him - Carney and Benji. They have their hands on the ball constantly.

That has him as the worst player in the NRL for mine.

Hopefully we only have to put up with it to the end of the year.

I think Linnett might be back and either go on the wing or fullback.

                        At least I hope so.

In twenty-six games last season he made twelve line breaks.

That's about one line break every three hours.

Just what you need from the back.
