Our original offer to Sheck was about $400k and we only went up to $525K when informed by his management that he was going to accept an $800-850K per year offer from the Warriors. We tried to get him originally for about $400k.

Becareful for what you wish re Toups. True he's not at his best, as we've seen but neither are many yet one of the youngest players is copping much of the blame. We release him tomorrow and goes on to have a brilliant career elsewhere, then many would be reuing the decision to let him go. He has a lot of potential that in the past year was out shining RTS. It's up to Robbo to decide how he'll get Toups out of his slump. Let's see if he is capable in tourning him around and be the player that got him in the SOO and test team.

Whilst this is a forum and I understand almost anything goes, I really do think referring to SKD as a 'clown' is a bit rich from fellow Rooster supporters. Sure, he can be frustrating at times and if he had of moved to Canberra I would have been happy for his big pay day.
The guy has been with our Club a long time and has done some amazing and brave things. And he has shown his club and team mates a he'll o a lot of respect by staying solid . I have no idea what Ricky offered but to have any chance of getting him to Siberia it would have been a lot.

KFIL and whoever else it was, you really should show a bit more respect to the guy. Just my opinion of course.

I don't understand....the club has a certain amount of money and that money can only buy a few players. Skids is solid out on the wing/centre. add nene, Elliot, fergo, . If bbq wants to stay for another 2 yrs at a certain $$$ rate so be it. if he just want to make dollars, go. That's league. bbq either plays for the badge or he sucks the cash from another club. I don't think mandy will throw big coin at him now if they are now maybe getting dce back.

Considering that our club legend Mini was treated worse by some here, does it surprise you that SKD cops plenty? Two guys who played through a lot of pain and have kept their nose clean from controversy to be subjected to this is disappointing but not surprising. And we make fun of the 'toothless' souths fans for their behaviour . It's real John. People are like that.
