Unfortunately it's not as simple as that.

Players aren't robots that you can just switch on.

Not knowing where you'll be playing next year and be offered less than your original deal after winning a premiership can be unsettling, distracting and effect your motivation.

Unlike most of us that actually have real jobs these bozo's outside of training and PR work play one game a week, 80 minutes out of a week they need to be on the ball and mentally prepared for so it's not such a tall order to ask for. In my field which is in the area of ER Nursing if we aren't on the ball people die so like robot's we need to be switched on from the moment shift start's until shift's end.

Job - A paid position of regular employment.

I have the world of respect for nurses, ambulance staff etc however i can't say the same about people with a chip on their shoulder.

Whats that supposed to mean ?
Maloney get's paid very well to do a job and excusing his lack of motivation in doing his job by saying his head isn't in the right space because of future contract negotiations is laughable. I fail to see how I have a chip on my shoulder for expecting him to deliver.

How has Jimmy been playing the last couple of weeks?

By down playing his employment and calling footy players bozos reeks of jealousy.

It may be laughable to you, however these things do effect the way some players perform.

Although I may follow football as a fan and have had no such desire to become one as in a player I understand people have bad days, but in saying that Maloney has had more than a few since 2013. Over the last 2 games it has been reported he missed 19 tackles, not the team but him alone that's unacceptable at any level of football. It's his responsibility to bring his A game to the match anything less is a lack of respect for his fellow team mates and the clubs fans.

Being small in stature. the difference for Jimmy in his defensive performances however minute they are will be amplified on the field. I see where you are coming from but Jimmy is probably not the first player to be distracted even just slightly by an uncertain future and certainly will not be the last. I say it may be affecting Tupou too, this uncertainty.

                  Exactly.
The last great player to be distracted by an uncertain future with us was from memory, Bwaiff.

Interesting to note that Sportsbet still has the Roosters as clear premiership favourites at $4.50 (followed by Vermin at $5.50 and Cowboys at $7.00).

Sportsbet must have taken a ton of money already for us and are happy not to take any more - I don't know but 7/2 odds about us wading through a mountain of bullshit on and off the field to raise the trophy in October seems like massive unders. Do the bookies actually take into account factors like the extreme unlikelihood of us receiving more than 1 or 2 2nd half penalties in every game from now on? And what that means in that our opponents smother our attempts at attack? In 2013 we were impenetrable in defence, we had SBW and we had belief. This year we have major injury problems, players with questionable motivation (RTS) and the same old refereeing handicapping system. Sorry, but this year we would need something close to a level playing field to have a chance - and that is the one thing we can be certain will not happen.

$4.50 is crazy. I'd rather put a grand on a greyhound at that price. Any greyhound.

Our form is marginal but expecting to give them a touch up
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Its a good chance, Klein will give the storm every decision imaginable after the "unfair" 7-0 2nd half penalty count from the last time he reffed them. We aren't hood enough to overcome that shit anymore.

ANZAC day I'd hope we can lift for, but Dragons defence has been brilliant this season with a very simple brand of footy. We will need to improve our ball handling and our halves will need to start performing toi get over them. Their forwards also gave the broncos pack a bath, who destroyed ours last week

I think you're right - the NRL would like to set up a big ANZAC Day match.
