I'd love to see the last time, a team, any team.. didn't receive a second half penalty two weeks in a row.

To me it's just amazing how teams suddenly become more disciplined when they play against us and teams start giving more penalties to Souffs. I think we'll be a premiership contender but it'll be like 2010 where we fly under the radar a little bit. Once we get our full first team on the pitch we'll be doing well again regardless of the refs.

20 odd rounds to go...

Tough calls are going against us but at least we're fighting till the end...
In years past, the players would've dropped their heads & the drongos & storm would have put 40+ on us...

I'm gutted at the loss, & the refs calls, not to mention our injury situation, but,
let's not lie down in round 7...

Our worst game this season was against the sharks..."WE WERE WOEFUL", but still could have stolen the win...
We're competitive but need some 50-50 calls to go our way for a change...

The 4 games that we've lost, we could have won, & been sitting cocky at the top of the ladder...
Only one way you can go from there & most front runners get run down...
Now we have to stand up & fight...
We have enough mongrel in us to do just that...

Our season starts again on Anzac Day...

Omg...that was just a cold drop by the storm player...no penalty.

We don't deserve that.

The refs have joined the 'don't bag the refs' bandwagon too. Sure what the Doggies fans did was unacceptable but when a call is contentious, I think it's fair for fans/commentators to attack the decision and get an explanation as to why it was correct.

A few years back we got a 'final word' column on nrl.com where the head ref went through a few contentious calls and explained them for us (often saying 'the ref got it wrong'.) IMO this is good practice because we are FANS NOT EXPERTS!!! Instead of saying we have NFI, the NRL should enlighten us. If they made the wrong decision then man up and admit it!

The score is final, but I seriously don't know why a bunch of calls were made. Is there a site where an expert does a breakdown of the key decisions in games? I'm keen to educate myself.

Why is anyone surprised?
Just the usual reffing of our games.

Yes, Storm allowed to basically do as they pleased, including outright 'thuggery'.
Seems to more than one person that Storm players and other opposition players are dropping the ball intentionally in play the balls knowing the refs will certainly give a penalty against us.

Surely the NRL is going to die out within the next ten years

There's a never-ending supply of new fans being born every minute.

NRL will survive, ,,,will be a tv game 'only'...small crowds at matches, basically empty stadiums.
I mean, who'd pay good money to watch what passes as refereeing/fair games today? ...except about a few thousand fans at each match.

ANZAC Day...a perfect time for our Club to declare 'war' on the NRL and its officials.
First step should be to call for a Royal Commission into the NRL and its officials.

Think ANZAC Day is not an appropriate time?
Then do it on the Monday.

Flops, and thuggery [forearms, hands and elbows to our players heads and faces while they were on the ground in tackles, etc].

So much for the NRL's cleaning up the game! LOL

Obviously thuggery is the order of the day...so we must obviously become thugs too [we're gonna get reffed out of the games anyway so might as well bash up the other teams].
