don't think it will make much of a difference overall but I bet we don't go penaltyless in any more second halves in the next couple of weeks.

Well Sunday night isn't the best time to try and think but based on my calculations, the odds of all 15 teams conceding the least number of penalties against 1 team is 1 in 437,893,890,380,859,400.

At least someone in the media is bringing this to attention.

I have followed Rugby League for a very long time and this is the first time I have ever seen Buzz go in to bat for our club.

Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks?
Which only makes the article more valid. He has no love for the Club.

Congratulations Buzz ( sincerely ) stating what we have known since the rort began, we do not complain about our stupid penalties , but question , why is every other team we play so disciplined/controlled when they play us.

When this has been debated often the question is posed wether the muppets are dancing to the real masters and corrupting the game for the odds .

You can understand these comments if they were only mouthed by Penners but other fans are even buying in .

We are one of the least supported teams in the comp combined with one of the most hated. As such, no one is going to give a shit about these sorts of discrepansies.

We will just have to cop it on the chin and continue to be frustrated with this piece of shit sport that used to be a great game.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am over league. The roosters are my favourite team in the world, but rugby league is no lonher my favourite sport. I just put up with it in order to support my team. If the day ever comes that the Roosters no longer exist, then that will be it for me for this monkey sport
I disagree. This will most definitely change things. It will be discussed amongst the DT reporters tomorrow. In the forums I've read, fans from other clubs are also starting to catch on. It's finally been put out there and the evidence is too hard to ignore. It will be lurking there now, if the bias continues, then there will be more outrage.

I know a lot of stats regarding this topic but that one about every single team in the comp having conceded their least amount of penalties is outrageous. There is no argument to that. Case closed

I remember watching at 9 years old what was Tom Baker's last story as the Doctor (called Logopolis) where he has to work with the Master to save the world. The Master betrays him, of course but to seal their pact they shake hands. When I watched that I felt like I'd seen the most aberrant thing I'd ever see in my life. That's just been replaced.

The odds of 1 in 437,893,890,380,859,400 in what the NRL and the refs have managed to achieve or Rothfield coming into bat for you guys?

So glad someone decided to bring this up in the media. The information has to get out there. Its ridiculous. I think we all accept we aren't a disciplined side, but the lack of penalties our teams receive? Its f**ed

"More alarmingly, the stats reveal that since 2013, EVERY team in the NRL has conceded their least amount of penalties in games against the Roosters."

What I find interesting is a comment made on the DT website under this article. It was stated that 80% of tries come directly off the back of a penalty. The Roosters have comfortably recieved the fewest, yet have scored the most tries.

Think how good we would be if we actually got a fair share of penalties

Buzz has not chipped in for the club out of any love or sympathy for the Roosters.
He has a personal vendetta against the NRL over its handling of the ASADA investigation into Cronulla.
But as has been stated previously the enemy of my enemy is my friend.....for now.
He is not the only person in the media aware of the bias against the Roosters. During the 2GB commentary of the
game on Saturday Chris Warren said he had no problems with the referees strongly policing the ruck as long as they
applied it equally to both teams.
The important thing is that this information is out there and many more people (not just Rooster supporters) will be
aware of the facts and talking about it. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of him as a journalist you can't argue with
the facts, the numbers and the argument based on penalties we don't receive. It will make a difference as any continuation
of biased refereeing will only strengthen and validate the idea in people's minds that we are unfairly treated.
The article has the potential to open a huge can of worms with the integrity of the NRL and referees being brought into question
and the implications in regards to sports betting for example.

So thanks Buzz, for doing your job.
