  • Trent Robinson is another one-season-wonder just like Sticky.

Without Sonny-Bill, he is a very ordinary coach. Totally bereft of ideas. I bet he will not be coaching here in 2016. What a dumbphuck to not let his players lay down to get a penalty, when every other team does it, and gets away with it. Dumb coach.

Mate settle down. I think people bagging Robbo are pretty disrespectful to be honest. He led us to 2 consecutive minor premierships which not many people can do.
It's the first time we've had a down period in 2 and a half years and now everybody wants Robbo's head.
We do, however, have a lack of hunger and that comes from senior players in the squad and possibly the coach. But there are not many individuals at the club at the moment that are standing up.

It was Sonny who led us to the two minor premierships. However, you are right about individuals at our club not standing up.

I thought sonny was pretty average last year. We just haven't evolved as a unit.

And whose fault is that? Robinson.

1 Premiership and 2 Minor Premierships in two full seasons.

            Yep, very average coach.

Trent maybe a good coach but his selections debatable. Toupo.

Sonny was more a hindrance than a help last season. He downed tools very early in the piece.

ok ill aGREE SOME OF HIS SELECTIONS ARE QUESTIONABLE? but as a coach hes right up there. maybe his integrity is clashing with his will to win, if our blokes are hit hard in the head no reason to get up quickly, if the ref chooses to give us a penalty that's his decision, its just like every team now has a wrestling coach, you've got to be in it to win it?

I think OP needs to settle down, but i can see where he's coming from. Robbo inherited a very good team, just like Sticky. He is is protected far too much on here and seems to almost be immune from criticism. Our team is playing shit and has failed to evolve with the rest of the competition. Ever since his premiership year we have actually played progressively worse. As a team, we aren't improving. We've been going backwards. At some point, Robbo needs to be accountable for our results just like any other coach.

Speaking of which , where is the Mayor of crazy town?

Nah mate in all seriousness every coach goes through the same crap. The great hasler who I rate in the top three coaches I've ever seen had a similar problem at manly. Except for him it was the other way around, no success at the start and then success in the latter years. I think robbo has the right temperament to be a successful coach and the right attitude. Just a question of rebuilding within. I think he really needs to shed the crappy/inconsistent players and sign up at least one superstar in a key position for the next couple of season. That with youth and a couple of cheap discount players like LOD, can get us to where we were.
                          Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

The first post was that without SBW, TR is average. So far TR hasn't shown much without SBW. I don't understand why TR is untouchachable when it comes to blaming for what's happening out there. The same crap goes on week after week yet we only blame the players. They say that TR goes off in the sheds when things aren't going right. Perhaps he does it in the showers where there aren't any cameras because all I see is just someone with as much energy as a snail. I have seen what Bellamy is like and he wouldn't be copping this and though Bennett might also have the same demeanour as Robinson, Trent is no Bennett yet. Stuart got us to 3 GF with one win, one premiership and one MP yet he gets bagged like there's no tomorrow so I can't understand why many make excuses for Robinson. Robinson is very much responsible for the selection and tactics of our team. I have never been of this opinion that 'in Trent we trust' BS. Time for Trent to step up or be told he's time is ticking. Hahahaha... Just heard Manly beat the Storm... We're heading South and they'll probably be heading north.

My main concerns are regarding our game plans and tactics as a team. There isn't much innovation going on. Same game plan, every week (like most coaches). Our set plays? They've dried up very much and we aren't threatening much anywhere near we used to. We seem predictable. Considering how star studded our team is, you'd think there'd be more points in us. But we're struggling. At the same time, our halves are deplorable. Pearce's composure is, again, also going backwards
