Problems with the site

Been having issues with the site for months, sometimes its up most of the time I can't get to it. My history is gone and I can't update my own profile.

I don't want to sound negative but there have been various issues over a period of time now.

Is there a non-aggressive way that I could make a forum where we can post when this one is down? I like this community (feels much better than elsewhere) also I wouldn't want to fragment the community.

However, I feel that due to stability issues and such we are losing people. While I appreciate all of Chris' work, I feel that most (all) issues could be wiped by getting a 2nd server, using a different CMS (with a better mobile theme) and having a nice stable forum. Could even move to reddit or something (although I can't stand all the kids there... made about 2 posts and quit.)

Yeah, look I don't want to go too much into it. A bit of foul play at work, but again.. I won't go into it. I'm just trying to rectify it. Should be OK as of tomorrow / tonight.

The site is still playing up very badly. Most of the time it doesn't refresh at all and I'm still seeing posts from yesterday as the latest posts.

I see a few names on that site from here, But there isn't too much activity there usually.

Same Horrie, except it completely deleted my profile so I had to re-register. Then start right at the beginning again with 0 posts and now back as a new member with all my old posts listed as anonymous.

The caching issue should have been resolved. Just so everyone is aware, we massively reduced all caching temporarily to drop bandwidth as someone was intentionally sending a lot of fake traffic to the site.. conveniently just after the 'referee and we don't get penalties' fiasco. Hence why you saw 'Bandwidth limit exceeded'. We went through 3x as much bandwidth in 3 days than we do in a month.

As a precaution, we removed all caching functionality of the site. They've all been restored now as far as I am aware - but if people are still having trouble I'll look into it.

The problem hasn't been resolved at my end. Still can't see 90% of posts. When I post this message I will not be able to see it.
