  • Rep Round Roosters Players Discussion

thought it might be worthwhile starting a thread discussing our players during the rep round

currently Hastings/Milne/Manu all playing in junior test match

Milne might get suspended for a spear tackle and was badly beaten for an early try

Manu scored an early try with some great footwork he has grown significantly in the last year, wouldn't totally rule out the possibility of him playing wing next season depending how things shake out.

    Australia win 22-20

Hastings solid but not specular switched between fullback and hooker

Milne looks to have injured the hand he busted in the nines again went off injured after about 65 minutes, unfortunately a very ordinary performance let in two tries, for a guy who almost played in the WCC at the start of last year he just hasn't progressed and is at long odds to make first grade at the Roosters, also likely to get suspended for a dangerous throw

Manu scored a nice early try has good footwork, if he continues to grow and get stronger he is one who just might get a shot at first grade in the next couple of years, unfortunately he stupidly laid a shoulder charge to the head in the last tackle of the match that led to an all in scuffle he too might end up sitting a couple of weeks on the sidelines, which means our NYC could be down both centres for the next couple of weeks.

I really wish that Evans would watch how Taukeiaho runs the ball up at the defense. Taukeiaho has made some tremendous hitups for Tonga tonight, running that hard he is hurting opposition players trying to tackle him. That is exactly what Evans needs to do, with all that aggression and effort that Taukeiaho puts into his hitups, instead of that pussy no heart pathetic hitup that he made against the dragqueens on Anzac Day!!

Langi has shown why he isn't 1st grade standard with a very soft attempt at tackle on Vidot, allowing Vidot to run through him to score.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

      Here's looking at you, kid.

Taukaeiaho absolutely killing it, strong carries and come up with two line break assists, passing around the ruck has been class. It's something we were so good at in 2013.

              Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Luckily he has no competition at all from reynolds.

Yet another brain explosion from reynolds sticking his leg out for an attempted trip(will be suspended again). Points decision is 1000-0 in favour of maloney.

It's been a see-sawing battle between them. I've got Reynolds on points with 15 to go, but the trip has handed it to Maloney.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

And classy reynolds gets himself on report again for a shoulder/knee charge, the guy is mental.
