We lacked in our forwards BIG TIME !!!

We were in the best attacking positions when Jared and Marty were on the field. Once they came off, it all went to shit !

Conn was nothing but a punching bag, being battered left right and centre and Tasi was overwhelmed by his first game in First grade.

We really missed Ryles and Mose tonight !

Story of our pack. We are desperately short a worker up front. We've got Myles and Friend and that's it. You need at least two forwards who can get through a mountain of work as well as your hooker. It's a huge weakness in our side.

Pearce did a Sandow. Early drop goal only to get beaten on the scoreboard. Something needs to be done at the roosters and fast. How can a team fall so far?? I guess it is either in the coaching staff or the senior players are not stepping up!!

I think we got caught up by the hype of last season. I think their is a feeling of self-entitlement within the squad. The reality is we should never have made the grand final last year and we were never going to make it this year. Slotting a one in a million field goal to go to extra time and then getting an intercept when we were on the ropes against a side who had an overlap does not make a premiership winning side. Coming up against two sides in the following weeks who didn't turn up to play does not make a premiership winning side. I knew we would come back to the pack this season a bit but I didn't think that it would be this much. The difference between the contenders and us is huge. Melbourne, St George and Canterbury are the real deal. We aren't.

Went to the game last night.The first 20 minutes we should have lead by at least 10 or more if we had any sort of fluency.Definately the arm wrestle when it was 12 all wasnt our best time during the game with no metres gained and lookin very tired.I was there with many roosters fan behind the goals in the supporters area giving all the encouragement we could to the boys but the lack of creativity of our halves and the lack of confidence was there for all to see.If we were a piece of furniture we would be stained in flat matt definately not a gloss finish.

Why does Smith continue with 2 hookers? Riddel is a waste of a bench spot. I think they need another backrower that can double up like Aubo. Friend needs to be running the ball more and setting up more plays around the ruck and close to the line. I know Pearce threw the final pass to FPN to score but Friend when he runs the ball can get a good ball away. If Carney isn't coming back soon then something needs to be done in the halves. There is no cohesion. After playing so long together I thought Pearce and Anasta would be doing a lot better and getting more points on the board. I also think some of our forwards are too small. Compared to other packs in the NRL. Have a good week off and come back firing.
