I wasn't happy when Beetson, Bob O'Reilly, Johnny Peard and anyone else that left with Gibson to Parra. I hated how Terry Hill was coming out in the media (not sure it was his own words) that he didn't want to play for us and would prefer to play for Wests. Since then, I hated 'Tezza'.

I hate Myles. I loathe him for the way he left the club. He abused his priveleged position as a team leader to basically force the club's hand with Carney. I hate the way he was doing those deliberate leading with the head style tackles but claiming it was the way he always tackled! I also HATE HATE HATE Mason but then I don't even rate him as a rooster at all and convince myself his involvement with the club never actually happened.
I also hate Hodges and Fulton with a passion.

I met Les Cleal as a young fella at the Scone races one year in the early 80s. He was paraded before the crowd as part of the local group side. It was before he played with Easts I think. Anyway, I went up to him and asked for his autograph being Noel's brother. He gladly obliged but at the same time asked me for my phone number to pass it onto Noel. I wrote it down on the back of a betting ticket and gave it to him. I didn't really think too much more about. A week or two later I was running around in the back yard playing footy and my Mum yelled out that there was a phone call for me. That's weird, I thought, nobody ever rings me. Low and behold it was Noel Cleal on the other end. I was in shock. We had a good chat. He even asked if I even needed any Roosters gear but me being a simple minded and honest young fella said "nah, I've got everything, jersey, shorts, socks etc". What an idiot - lol!! So my memories of Noel are good ones. I was devastated when he & Boustead left, especially to Manly. But I was too young at the time to know the politics surrounding it all. And back on thread, I'm not a fan of Hodgo either.
