  • Moa to Panthers

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet, but the Herald reckons he'll be granted an early release if he can secure a long term contract with Penrith.

Now unless we've signed God and the Prophet for next season, I completely fail to understand this one.

Best player of the past three years.

    Diabolical.

        I struggle to believe this.

Maybe next season but not now when we've lost Kennedy and Meehan.

He's also started bending the line again.

        This is nuts if true.

I think the early release is from 2016 not now. As far as I'm aware nothing is concrete yet just that Roosters will grant him early release should the Panthers give him a deal he wishes to take. I will be sad to see him go, however the Cap must be biting.

Sam just got married and maybe the Panthers can offer him a large 3 or 4 year deal. But I do wonder what is going on with our recruitment at the moment and also how will the Panthers manage to afford him if they pull off a deal with him.

Indeed, it's crazy as he has been consistently good. The only problem is we did overpay for him, $400,000 per yr is too much hence that's why they are trying to offload him.

Anyways, apparently on twitter Gus has denied chasing Moa as their cap is near it's limits.

Still don't know why we are even contemplating giving him an early release. 150 odd meters tonight and 30 tackles.

I agree mate. I will personally drive down from the Gold Coast and knee cap Nick , Brian and Robbo if they let him go.

What is going on in Roosterland that this even becomes a rumour?

Only if it's a swap & Moylan is released to come the other way.

Gus told me on Twitter last night that there is no truth in it. He does not know where it came from and that their salary cap is full.
