Hope he doesn't play as poorly for us as he did for the Warriors when he'd signed for us.

Half our "spine" gone, I'll be disappointed if we line up with a fullback that's already at the club next year.

Have been expecting it for weeks now. Still disappointing to hear it. I really worry about losing two players from key positions in the one hit. Hastings will slot in for Jimmy but we still have no obvious fullback option to replace RTS. And I do not believe Ferguson is the solution at fullback.

I wish BBQ the best as it secures his future, but I hope this does not affect the way he plays the rest of the year- to date he has been a match winner.

Next year might be difficult, but gee there's some quality players off-contract at the end of 2016 such as Klemmer, Wighton, Milford, Jack Bird, Folau, SBW, and potentially even Hayne.

no shock here, this was the rumour doing the rounds before xmas, it was only the fact we lost RTS that the deal was delayed and we scrambled to try and keep Maloney but were never a realistic chance, can't blame him for taking the offer because we weren't prepared to offer the 3yrs or the money he wanted.

interesting the Moa rumours won't stop either now seems the Warriors are favourites for his services.

boy I hope Uncle Nick/POS have something planned, losing your fullback and five eighth in the same season is a recipe for disaster it completely alters the attacking structures of the team, Hastings is a vastly different player to Maloney and whoever replaces RTS isn't going to offer the same workrate he has.

We better not screw this chance to win a premiership because it might be a while before we are a realistic chance for another one.

Congratulations to him, he has probably made the right long term decision for his family.

Thanks Jimmy, hope you get another premiership with us this year; you wont be getting one at the Sharks.

I would get Klemmer..it would be fun to see him and JWH eating other players babies and giving away 7 penalties between them.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

we simply can't go down the SBW route again, his body isn't up to another stint in the NRL he has barely played this year for the Chiefs, he got us the premiership in 2013 and we will be forever grateful but its time to move on.

Hastings has done well, but nothing out of this world till now. Putting all expectations in him and Pearce in the halves for 2016 is just worrying. The exodus of 2013 GF winners seems to be gaining speed.

I have loved having Jimmy at Easts..

Yeah I'll really miss Jimmy. Class player and a top bloke.

Oh well it's all or nothing in 2015 as it's clearly our last title tilt until 2018.
