I really fear that many of you guys are over rating Hastings. I am yet to see much from him at all. His performance against the Warriors was solid but it was absolutely nothing to gloat about. We need to be careful or it'll be another Pearce situation where he has all the weight of pressure on his shoulders and takes a long long time to find his feet. (and I mean we as supporters, in case some smart ass says he doesn't read the forums lmao)

It was inevitable we were going to lose players we didn't want to lose. Hastings looks a good player so hopefully he can replace Maloney without any hiccups, plus apparently he is a good goal kicker.

My gut feeling is that Hastings will be a better player than Pearce.
More suited to halfback anyway.
