The captain has to be a leader, a communicator, respected within the team and in enough form to indicate that they will still be in the team for at least the next 12 months.

Using this criteria, Nate Myles would be the only option.

If Nate is leaving then we will struggle to have anyone with the attributes required. Pearce would be closest, but has enough to worry about atm.
