  • What's the go?

For the past 2 weeks we've only played with 3 subs? No Hastings and no mcwilrick? Gee our forwards must be fit.

Yep, plus no starting props or center, and no halfback tonight either.

I was very surprised he didn't get a run tonight. Pearce was having a stinker and Jimmy and Friend were a bit off the boil too. I thought origin took a far more noticeable effect on our origin boys this week.

Robbo on the radio said that he wished he could have given Jake a spell, but felt that that added toughness was required.

That's good coaching. 2 on-the-trot with that tactic.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

Maybe robbo is preparing for the reduced interchange next year?

Two games in a row is very odd in this day.

Lets be honest here Pearce is crap most games.. the team looked a ship with no rudder not that Pearce will ever be that rudder but Maloney isn't that man either lets hope Hastings can steer us around.

I thought Jimmy had another great game tonight with his passing and kicking rooster 6.. Pearce definitely had a stinker but its more of a worry with Friendy being a bit off recently.. He seems to have his timing off with a couple of plays in the attacking 20 and his dummy half is slower than what it used to be it seems..He's such a great thinking player I hope it's just a temporary thing as we need him at his best doing the organising when our halves fail at times.

Jimmy missed a lot of half opportunities down his edge tonight, I might be a little harsh given he was missing his man Jennings but there were points left out on the field tonight especially down or left edge. Friends performances are a little worrying but at the end of the day he's still always a 7/10 player he just hasn't had many better games than that this season. I like the fact that he tried to run out of dummy half more tonight he just didn't seem to be picking the right moments, it'll come he's a great player. Pearcey will get there too, like last season he'll come good when it matters, origin just seems to be taking aa bit of a toll on him and Guerra in particular

I also thought Jimmy had another brave night in defence up against Frizzell, to his credit. Made some crucial tackles and never took a backwards step

Interesting if it's a strategic method to improve match fitness by increasing the load/minutes of our forwards.

Origin takes its toll in different ways Pearcy s timing was off abit but then so was Friendy's - Guerra was penned at 105 M , 30 tackles, off the bench seemed OK , maybe if they aren't scoring they don't get noticed as much.

We won so they must be doing something right, this was a do or die game given the stat that if they win "top 4" if they lost " outside the 8 " the players selected were tested and passed , not without some lessons being learnt.

The only times I noticed we were near the line and going for a try. I didn't mind it because if we kicked it probably would have been charged down or caught in goal.
