  • Disappointed with CC Stadium

My first trip to Central Coast Stadium today. Kind of a nice ground in a quaint sort of way. I felt like I was watching Rugby at Coogee Oval at some points. Having said that, I won't be going back there. It's too difficult to park, there were no police overriding the traffic lights to smooth the flow, particularly after the game. Entry was difficult with there seeming to be problems with the ticket scanners. Long queues trying to get in. Catering facilities were dreadful. Queues were 40 deep with only two people serving. Overall the experience was like something from 30 years ago. The ground is manifestly inadequate for even a moderate crowd. I understand that the Roosters have a commitment to the area but they have a greater commitment to paying members. Roosters and NRL have to do a lot better than this.

I was pleased to see a lot of the member regulars attending. Well done guys. The club owes us more respect.

I will agree with you in some aspects, the catering facilities were pathetic, went to get a pie at half time and the pie warmers were full of pies but the woman serving said wont be warm till another 20 mins, WTF ? , when leaving the ground the pie ovens still were full of pies, will probably throw them out because of some staff ineptitude. Normally I wouldnt have been looking for a pie at half time but was caught up in the Sydney Trains fiasco that affected a lot of people going to the game who left early enough to get to Gosford for lunch but got there after the kick off happened.
As for the ground, I like it and what happened today wont put me off going again.

we got more to worry about then getting a cold pie ffs, how about a footy team that has a go every week instead of turning up, the handing on a lovely sunny day on a perfect field, would of been bad on a wet day 30 years ago in a quagmire. Robbo is good in areas, but 3 years of the same areas we fall down in, leaves me doubting his real capacity, lets face it, he has a roster bill smith from off the street could coach, and still every week almost we do the same dumb things.

LOL - about having more to worry about than cold pies (so true), if we don't start turning things around and play to the teams Roster ability (with the team of Stars we have). This accute problem with the team is turning very quicky into a "CHRONIC" problem.

        WAKE UP ROOSTERS!!!

We got to the ground at 12pm. No queues, hot pies were readily available, parking was piss easy & only $5. Getting out of the area was slow but nothing worse than any other ground.

Last time I checked the thread was about being disappointed with Central Coast Stadium, not the way we played, there have been plenty of other threads on how bad we played on without making another one.

I have caught the train every time I have gone to Gosford and it has been seamless until yesterdays problems, I like the stadium and its easy to enter and exit, I was only a bit frustrated when lining up for a pie at half time only to be told they wouldn't be ready for 20 mins, there were at least 30 people in line so she could have just made a general announcement instead of letting everyone cue, the spot was only selling pies so it wasn't like they had other options to sell, I was just wanted something to eat after hanging around Hornsby and the Cowan station for around 3hrs.

I'm guessing they didn't count on such a large hungry crowd. It was a beautiful day with a very healthy crowd. I drive down from up the coast & got home in the same amount of time it took me to get there. So no complaints from me
