I was just watching on youtube, a video of all our 2013 tries collected. And man hasn't it brought back some great memories. We were ruthless, we were dominate. We didn't just hang on to close games we put the sword to our opposition and belted them. Im writing this thread now because it makes me sad knowing that RTS,Jimmy and now Moa are leaving at the end of this year. Considering we've already lost SBW,O'donnell, Mini,Morts,FPN most of our 2013 team is pretty much gone. How good was SBW? Some of the offloads he delivered were world class. Our attacking structure was impressive which also makes me ask the question - Whats happened to that two man set piece close to the line that we used? It brought some great success. Im not saying we use it in every set but why don't we EVER use it? Imo we also miss SBW'S offloads badly. We miss that second man phase imo.. Anyway Hopefully the boys can deliver us another Comp this year. Lets hope so!

I think that 2 man set piece has suffered for two reasons. Every other club has woken up to it. It used to be Jake that run it from dummy half either giving it to Pearce or hitting the second forward who would crash over. But of course he was out for a long time at the start of the year.
We still do use it but nothing like we used to. Cordner was also a big part of it and tbh I don't think he has been at the top of his form this year, even tho he is selected for origin. But mostly I think it is predictable now.Embrace the Hate! JC

I never get sick of watching replays of the 2013 season games.
Especially in the off season.
There was an interview that Robbo gave not long after we won the GF.He stated they were building towards 2014 . However, 8 rounds into 2013 they'd realised the current squad was ripe and winning the comp that year was achievable.
I also got the impression that SBW had always planned on staying for a 2nd season after that particular interview.
