  • Predictions from now.......

Time to put your nuts and tits on the line peeps.

OK, I liked either Brisbane or dogs to win the comp at the start of the year. Haven't changed my mind.
The roosters are off 5% this year. Not sure why....my guess would be some internal dramas amongst players and signing, recruitment etc.
Souths will struggle cause of the impossibility of winning two years in a row. Bad for NRL business and the bias towards them from the refs has been heralded.
Penrith are not good enough, same as Melbourne.
Cronulla are fielding Dads army. They are currently at full strength. Wont last.
Melbourne dominate field position but can't score.
The warriors are looking good at the moment. They have the right ingredients to win.
The cowboys look the obvious choice but they never win it. I could envision a premiership coming there way simply cause JT is such an amazing player. Its what the NRL would want.......Ive never like Paul Green as a player. He is like the dark matter of Ivan Cleary.

Player to watch...Ben Hunt. Sean Johnson to stand up at NRL level.
INJURY predictions........NQLD front row to go down, Cronulla to lose a few,
Dods and Manly to start winning
    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Will come down to injuries. At full strength I think it's between us and the Cowboys. If our pigs stay healthy , it's scary what RTS , Fergo and Jennings could do off the back of them. Easts v Cows GF

I honestly think we have the cattle to take this out - our forwards are up to it, our backs are looking easily the best in the comp - SKD risen to career best, Fergo looking unstoppable, RTS, Jenko......even Pearce stepped up last weekend post origin humiliation. Refs starting to lay off us.

We have cowgirls covered. Brisbane and the refs are the main worries.

Fair call ...my tip was the Cowboys to make GF.Bulldogs Chooks and Bronos capable of making it. i wouldnt fancy meeting Cows (refs dream) for finals.
Like last year Chooks are more than capable of pulling it off if the pieces all fit.getting better calls from refs these days helps.
Robbo has a pattern to his coaching .. starts the season of at a normal pace builds up the defence then gets them to throw the ball around until they click 5 or 6 rounds out.
Fergo will be massive I believe we can win the comp on his back. Warroirs if they had a shit hot coach would win the comp ...probably not this year but could give it a big shake and may make a GF.
Tak Tak Boom is filling the SBW void we need more minutes out of him.
We only need a few players to find their form and we are complete been Tupou and Guerra (the G spot aint bad either just needs to lift a bit in attack.

By the way who played on the wing in no5 for Wyong last week? massive winger with some pace? or my eyes played tricks on me .

So what it appears you are saying is this Brisbane and Canterbury are your top choices and that NQLD and Warriors are a possible danger Effectively you are saying you think 4 sides can win it and nowhere have you actually put your nuts on the line by predicting a winner. Furthermore you say Penrith Cronulla Melbourne cant win it I suppose you are laying something on the line with this It appears you alsop think neither Vermin ort us can win it Although you have not said that in as many words but rather in a round about way.

For the record I think it is too early say who will win it However should our team play to its full potential come finals time we will win it

I'm happy to say I think we'll win it. In fact, we're specials.

Broncs are the obvious dangers, especially with Mr Happy coaching them. I think they peaked a bit early though - it's very difficult to stay on form for such a long time.

Cowboys next best, but they need to keep JT and their props fit. Plus their form in Sydney has to end sometime.

Dogs and souths are shot for me - far too inconsistent.

Melbourne can't win it without Slater.

Which leaves the Warriors. They can either win the comp or miss the 8. We'll get a good look at there they're at this week, but it's only 4 weeks since we beat them at their place.

The rest of them - no chance.

So Easts to win, and who cares who we beat. If we were any longer than $4, I'd be having an industrial sized bet on us.

            You heard it here first.

Course, if we lose on Sunday, then we've no chance and we should sack half the players and coaching staff.......

I believe Easts and Brisbane will contest the GF.

Papalii goes good and has a future in the backrow. I actually think he is talking about Chris Centrone who went down the sideline for the last try. Yes has some size and speed but is only a steady player, won't ever see first grade

My opinion has not changed since the start of the season Roosters V Cowboys GF , but be sure, there is still a lot of football ahead and as we all know it only takes a few dud calls, a few injuries or a bit of controversy to disrupt anyones progress.

Broncs are red hot at the moment but i am confident we will bump them.

I'm tipping a cowboys vs brisbane grand final after they each finish 1 and 2, which Brisbane will go on to win. It will also be one of the lowest attended grand finals in years (under 80,000) and have the lowest TV ratings for a grand final in a long time.

The NRL will then get over its obsession with trying to get a QLD team a premiership.

We will play the cowboys in Townsville in week 1 of the finals, and get murdered by the refs. I'm thinking 10-3 penalty count and at least 1 bullshit try awarded to the cows. We'll then win our week 2 game, but unfortunately have to play Brisbane at Suncorp in the prelim. This game will be one of the biggest stitch ups since the 2010 grand final, and we'll be bundled out.

Its a waste of time predicting the winner, we don't know who the NRL have given the nod to, too take out the premiership, I am thinking one of the sides who haven't won it before, or a side who hasent won it for many years will get anointed, and therefore get a free rein from the referee'so expect the winner to come from the Cowboys, Warriors,Cronulla or Panthers.

I'm with the dogs at full strength. Great mix of youth and experience. Addition of Morris and Rona has made them a powerhouse. Next step are roosters and cowboys. Think the cowboys have had the rub of the green all year.

I am not buying the Dogs love at all. The Morris brothers are injury prone, their forward pack as a collective are big but too immobile, I don't like them on a hot steamy October evening, that said they will be watching the game from Bali or Coffs. Last year was there best chance when they arsed there way into the Grand Final but got pumped. We are a 20 point better side than they are. Brisbane and the Cowboys are our main danger.
