  • a 14yo asks

As I pick up the kids from school, I have the radio tuned to 2SM talkin sports program. My 14y.o.Dogs supporter son asked me today:" If the guys on radio say it,and many commentators say it, and supporters like yourself keep saying it, how come the coach cannot see that Anasta is not a 5/8 and that Mini cannot pass and do something about it?

What can I give for an answer that a 14 y.o. can somehow understand?

There's an easy answer - the coach is an idiot.

I've been saying it for weeks.

Things will only get worse from here. There's tonnes of problems.

Mind you, your son being a dogs fan is another major problem.

Blame it on the Emperor Nasi Goreng.....its to keep the Rabbits out.

Seriously.....your son should be asking Nick Politis the same question.

My 11 year old son was almost in tears watching his hero Mini playing like a retard.

"Watch the game and decide for yourself son..."

i.e. Mini's playing well (sorry he just is and the commentators ARE saying that, so's the radio.) In addition Anasta's currently our best option for 5/8 granted Carney is out indefinitely.

Quit brainwashing your son you evil man

If you're right, that's depressing and I need to detach myself because I seriously cannot handle a repeat of 2009.

You tell him that it's down to the fact that our sqaud is totally out of balance

As bad as Mini has become, and as hopeless as Braith has always been, with Carney out we don't have any other options

When it comes to some of the most important positions in the side, we have no back up plan whatsoever

The better option is to tell Mini to keep out of any playmaking role and move Anasta back to second row and get someone like Symonds playing 5/8. The problem is that can you imagine the monumental dummy spit Anasta would have if he is not 5/8 with Carney out.

Buddy, Symonds is so not a 5/8

TOK Anasta is so not a 5/8.

Symonds played 5/8 in NYC. I'd rather him have the ball in his hands than Anasta and Mini for that matter.
