He hasn't been charged.

The club has put out a statement saying they won't comment because the matter is before the courts. If he was going to be stood down they wouldn't have done that.

Obtaining an AVO is an absolute piece of piss. Just requires a woman to walk into a cop shop and tell them they feel scared of a man for some vague reason and they'll give them a temporary one until it can get a proper hearing.

Even though they require no evidence as such to take out its actually fair-ish system as it offers immediate protection - and if it turns out to be an unsubstantiated claim well really the only harm done is that the bloke has to turn up to court for a day to argue their case. A small price to pay to ensure women who are actually in danger can get some help from the cops without having to jump through hoops for a few weeks.

Given he hasn't been charged with any offence I think the odds that there has been any assault are pretty low. Likely some sort of tactic to do with their settlement procedure, or could even be just because Skids keeps coming over uninvited and arguing with her about stuff

Danish is correct , an allegation is all that's needed for an AVO. It's not a criminal offence, unless proven that he has committed some crime, and it does not go on his criminal record, unless he breaches the order. In most cases, at the first court appearance, the police will ask for a provisinal order ( without submission) then the defendant gets a court date to defend himself. If he hasn't been charged with assault or anything similar, then I would presume the case is weak. Let's hope it does not effect his on field performances.

for sometime now, & it carries the same a marriage, even tho SKD is not the father of her children he has supported them, if he has a home be it a unit & he owns it then she can lay claim to part of it's value, his super, & a portion of his earning during their time together. It could become very nasty, very dirty, very quickly. I hope for his sake it's not.

My son was in a similar situation no AVO she wanted out after 3yrs, they had a 1yr old child, in 5yrs she never held a full time job he owned his own home no morgage she got 85% & walked away with the 85% , car, household stuff, plus a portion of his super & left her credit card of $15,000 for him to pay, now 13yrs later she still does not have a job, but he has to pay child support, yet only sees his child in school holidays because she moved over 8hrs away...

Which is a total outrage!

And people wonder why there's 'no' respect for 'women' and the legal system in our society today.

Go on dates, but make sure they live at their own property.
Their own property, with their own mailbox, their own laundry, kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom.
Never give them any money.
Never support their children.
Never call their children your own.

The average marriage lasts 12 years, then the misery/war starts...divorce, custody battles, and into poverty.

A 3 year relationship and a child is a bit different to an 18 month relationship with no kids

Correction - you had some wonderful female Roosters fans on here as there will be one less now as from today. I don't know what's been in the waters these past few days but the vitriol spat out towards one another on this place is actually quite scary and unpleasant. A forum is a community and one should feel safe in one's community.
Just for the record Bondi Boy, some of us ladies do have our own property and investment portfolios, contribute to our own Super, run businesses and pay taxes and donate to charities. We don't all sponge off men or sit on sofas eating chocolates watching daytime television whilst the menfolk are all out digging ditches or killing wild boar for dinner. There are some of us who do try to treat others with care and respect, and not expect a handout in return, no matter what the nature of the relationship.

And also in response to a comment on the closed thread about 'the fans owning the game', really? Then I'd like a refund due to all the faulty and dysfunctional parts! I've never once considered that being a Roosters member gave me the entitlement to manipulate or play God with someone else's life. How frighteningly arrogant and a great display of control freak tendencies. I just want to watch my own team for 80 minutes a week and get a little enjoyment out of it.It should not be this hard but some of you choose to make it so. We can't always get the results we want, whether it be in life or footy, so some of you need to just relax and enjoy the life granted us.

I know its had to believe but scrupluios women have been known to get out AVO's to make future settlement payouts easier to get, in all SKD's time at the club, I don't think I have ever seen him throw a punch on the field, or not have a big smile on his dial, he is a very laidback character, not the sort of person who would need a AVO out against him, I would think. Lets all hope it gets sorted asap, and SKD can move on with his life, learning a valuable lesson.
