I am so saddened by this. On hearing SKD is pleading not guilty I so hope that what has been alleged about him is an exaggeration. The circumstances described, namely the alleged offences being many months before a complaint was made and the pair of them now being separated and with her seeking money from him, lead me to want to believe he should be extended a chance to defend himself before being judged.
In addition, the report about the previous boyfriend (link in above post) in court over her allegations gives me some hope Shaun may not be as bad as he sounds - then again he could be. However the following snippet from the article raises questions:
In March, Coe — who plays for the Lloyd McDermott Rugby Development Team that participates in the Australian Rugby Union national championships — was assaulted by Ms Peris when she ‘‘struck’’ him with a power board. He then grabbed it off her and smashed it against a wall. Mr Trigg commended Coe for not retaliating by striking Ms Peris but said he shouldn’t have thrown it at the wall. ‘‘Ms Peris felt scared and intimidated by that action,’’ Mr Trigg said.
So she bashed him with a power board and then rang the police and had him charged because she was "scared" by him smashing the implement he had been struck with against a wall?
So hold your tickets.
