I hope Guerra plays lock this time, instead of naming him in the 13 and continually playing Cordner there.

Guerra's defence is still iffy for mine on the edges.

I hate when there is a backline play and the ball finds it way to Guerra, he must be the worst passer in the comp (on the odd occasion that he lets the ball go), that said my heart goes in its mouth whenever Jennings is throwing the final pass as well.

I agree. They do a move off the scrumbase where Jennings loops around, runs sideways and looks to pick up Maloney on the angle, it looks like they are going to **** it every time! !

I'm sick of Hastings. I don't care who's son he is. That little upstart offers us nothing. Friends fit enough for the 80. And obviously Maubs can cover him if he goes down.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into this but with SoH as the first listed replacement, perhaps he will play and either Maloney or Pearce rested?

Where investing into the future and it's not hurting this seasons campaign which is a bonus.

He's there as the utility, to cover injuries in the 1,6,7 & 9.

If we don't pick him then the final bench spot goes to our 9th best forward who eats into the minutes or our better forwards which makes no sense at all. If anything players like SST and Liu are deserving of more minutes, not less. There's no fatigue issues with our forward pack.

There's also a long term view to be taken, sure Friend can play 80 mintues every week but why not give him a quick rest in the regular season and make sure he's fit an firing for when it really matters... in the finals. There's also Hastings long term development which it'll only benefit.

I can think of numerous reasons why picking a utility on the bench makes sense, I struggle to think of one reason why it doesn't.

It all just comes down to the fact that he's got a famous surname and that seems to upset a lot of people. Get over it.

You can't exactly make an impact when you are playing 10 minutes or less a game. He had a good game when he played the full 80 minutes against the warriors.

I just hope the Knights name Tyrone Roberts, he is not a 1st grader and has absolutely no defensive abilities

He's cover if a half, fullback or hooker go down. No one else in the forwards can cover halves and fullback if need be. And it's not like he negatively affects the team when he comes on by any means. His defence is very good. His service is good. He knows when to play a short side. For a bloke playing out of position he does a very good job. And he'll be the 6 next year so he could use some first grade experience. I feel like you're the only one that has an issue with his surname. Robbo and O'Sullivan would have the same opinion of him if his name was Smith.

We had Mortimer giving Friend a break and that worked for us. As much as he's able, Jake is working himself to the ground, as usual, and we need him fresh for the finals. I wouldn't be surprised if he's rotated if our final position is determined before rnd 26

                        Great to see Shaun back.

I love it when people comment on players they have never seen play as if they are some authority... Hastings is there to allow Maubs to cover three quarter or forward injuries rather than just act as dummy half cover, Hastings the spine positions. The guy has serious talent and quite obviously your opinion isn't based on watching him play. Up there with your Isaac Lui is boring comments, I doubt you actually realize what happens on the field.

He's also a cover for goal kicking if something happens to Jimmy. God forbid if it did and we had to rely on Cordner as our second string kicker !

I have been getting hammered for years for saying he is a hog. Welcome to the select exclusive club.
