Wouldn't read too much into that worrying 25 minute patch. Two very uncharacteristic mistakes by RTS were pretty much solely responsible for that momentum shift, brought the crowd into the game and pumped up Newcastle. Can't see him making those same mistakes when the game is in the balance, he was too busy counting tries 4, 5 and 6 in his head. We will be at our best against the Broncos in two weeks time.

Without the two RTS stuff ups I reckon we still only let one try in. Need to focus on completing a game, we get a bit ahead of ourselves sometimes. As soon as we scored the first try in the second half we went on to auto pilot, nothing that can't be fixed. looking forward to Pearce coming back next week

32 points and they switched off. Once the score got past 20 you could tell we were trying a lot more in attack which probably made our defence suffer later on. I think Robbo will have them playing a smart 80 against parra to get ready for Broncos.

Not worrying? This is par for the course. Against poor teams we either don't turn up or we switch off. Against good teams where we've got into a good lead we switch off. We do that in the finals and we are done. May as well have gone on holidays for those 26 rounds because we'll have achieved exactly nothing. Vastly different side to the 2013 team who you knew could hold a team to zero even with a small lead, let alone a big one.

Two RTS errors and a period in the second half when Newcastle received 7 penalties to 1. Take those away and it would still have been a thrashing.
At the end of the day, were the only team in the top 4 who got the points.

But those penalties were warranted and then some dumb knock ons (Evans, Liu...)...This is where you just have to accept that it wont always work 100% in our favour and move on to the next game. A tougher team will have them better focused. Toupo has woken up which is good. Lets hope that SKD can get himself back cause that right side is a worry without him and Pearce.
