I was interested to hear Freddy call him our best player.

Made me think who would be our best player.

The fact it is so hard to find one shows how well balanced we are. No one-man team like the Cows or Souffs here.

Agreed, it's not like we rely on JT being around... if he's injured, Cowboys can kiss any chance of a premiership goodbye.

Us... I think we have leaders all over the field and 'best' is too hard to pick. JWH, RTS, Fergo, Jennings, Pearce, Cords, Guerra, Friend...etc are all awesome players but none are bigger than our team and culture.

It's good IMO because no 1 player can hold us random in salary negotiations. Whereas say Melbourne just had Smith, Cronk (and soon Slater) pretending they were all considering leaving so that they could all get $1,000,000+ contracts. They've done well, but I'm glad we don't have a holy trinity of players who are 'the team' by themselves. Sux when we lose say SBW or RTS, but we have the depth to move players around and thrive without them.

Remember earlier on in the season when they were missing Inglis and Reynolds? Wests took them to the cleaners at Homebush.

Compare that to us going to NZ the same weekend with the Origin guys missing.
