He has had some great impact off the bench in attack for sure but we were exposed in the middle in the Tigers Game and the Bulldogs game and while his direct defense is solid, he seems to lack the confidence/understanding/ initiative/ awareness/ experience ( something ) to make the adjustment from direct defensive patterns to the Slide defensive pattern.

I saying that it is easy to fix if this is actually what is happening.
I think he's our secret weapon and will be unleashed to the max in the finals.

I'd like to see him run a little wider with support runners trailing every time he has the ball.

        Most valuable 3 players...
        1) RTS... makes more metres than anybody and constantly takes the pressure off us in defence. Amazing ability to score tries too. Fergo will potentially take this spot next season whether he's a centre or a FB.
        2) Friend... big part of the Bondi wall. Little nugget but one of our most reliable tacklers, amazing workrate.
        3) JWH... definitely out biggest enforcer. Napa, Evans, SST, Moa and friends are definitely valuable too, but I think JWH is the biggest leader out of them all.

I dunno. Where do Cords, Guerra, Jennings, Fergo, Pearce, Maloney, Toops, SKD...etc fit? IMO MVP depends on the game and what job is required. For example do we need a cool head, aggression, a finisher...etc? Too many variables IMO.

The fact that it has been suggested Joseph Manu or Brendan Elliott replace RTS at fullback when he leaves has me in no doubt he is our most valuable player.

It's got to be experience. He has only played 20 odd first grade games and he is only 22-23.

              1. Jake Friend - There is no one in our squad who could go close to providing us with what he does.
              2. Mitchell Pearce - Probably a little controversial but he's our organiser, everything we do comes off him and Friendy.
              3. JWH - If influence is leadership then he is hands down our forward leader, it's evident for all to see.

Honourable mentions to RTS & Cordner, especially Cordner who I think is the most underrated player in the game ATM.

I think I've pretty much just named our leadership group.... Robbo must be doing something right

I think we have the depth to cover players 1 and 2 with Maubs and Hastings and still be very competitive.

Who would replaces RTS and how would this impact our teams performance?

                  You're all fools.

Stuart Broad is clearly the MVP right now

I think we'd still be a very competitive side regardless of who we lost I just think Friend & Pearce would be the hardest to replace, the fact that they're our captains is purely coincidental. I just think their leadership and organisational abilities on field are second to none and quite frankly our next best is a long way off. Where as I think there's already enough points in our team that if we were to lose an attacking player somewhere in the side whilst it's never easily replaced it'd be more readily replaced.

On second thoughts RTS probably does deserve to be in there somewhere I just try not to think about who we could replace him with because that could will become a reality in the not to distant future.

                      Yeh that's fair enough.

In regards to RTS - I'd say Robbo has a contingency plan for both an injury and next season.

I just wish he would share it with us

Guerra is a fair way down the list.

I wonder if he has some type of exercise induced asthma thing going on.

                        He always looks gassed.

I actually believe it is Maloney because he seems to have the greatest influence on our results.
When he is playing well, we tend to win our games. However when he puts in a shocker, we seem to really struggle as a team and tend to lose.
Here's hoping he fires throughout the finals series as this will be key to whether we go all the way or not!

Have you ever thought that that it might be the other way round? When we're playing well Maloney plays well, when we're playing poorly Maloney plays poorly.

After all he's a support player who relies on strong go forward to give him time and space. It's not a criticism of his ability just a reality given the type of role he plays in the modern day game.

I think it's pretty obvious if RTCheque gets injured. Fergo FB. Elliott centre. Or SKD centre and Elliott wing. And of course there is always the Aubo at centre option but I hope not because he is too good a back rower.

                                Jimmy. He creates everything.

Serious doubts over what the plan is next season.
