  • JWH Ruptured ACL done for the season

heartbreaking, goes from the best week of his life with the birth of his first child to a season ending knee injury.

respect to the big fella he gave us everything he had this season, he was outstanding

    Just devastating.

Haven't been this gutted since last year's Prelim.

I just can't believe the bad luck. And an ACL of all injuries.

+1 to this, he did not seem in a massive amount of pain. Lets take the emotion out of it and sleep on it.

He might be back this year.

easy, ACL is the main ligament controlling stability for the knee, if he walks in a straight line its ok, its when he twists or turns his knee would buckle/collapse.

That's true but has acl been confirmed as the injury?

                    Yeah depends on the injury.

When i tore my ACL i basically destroyed every ligament in my knee in a twisting motion and couldn't walk at all.

Hopefully JWHs isn't as serious going forward.

Yep I have done ACL twice.
Both very different in pain but 6 months rehab so gone for season.
When he comes back should not be a big deal for a forward as his power game doesn't rely on lateral movement.

Zachary. Done one myself, not much pain and could still walk.

as mentioned above the real issue for JWH is not so much the damage to the ACL but what else he did, is there any PCL/MCL/Meniscus damage as well.

my concern is the injury occurred whilst the weight of the tacklers were twisting him in the tackle.

I've done my ACL in both knees, massive pain and struggled to even stand up in one, the other was less pain and I could walk ok in a straight line after it, so they're all different....
