Given the tear was low toward the knee maybe 4 weeks.

Earning the week off in the finals could be crucial.

was interesting seeing Pearce in a full length knee brace turning up to the club today, never seen that method for treating a hamstring before.

If anyone can recover quickly from a hamstring injury it's Pearce.

He looks after himself very well and doesn't have a bad history with injuries.

I reckon we need to win week 1 and he'll be sweet for the Prelim.

Roosters (1st) v Sharks (4th) week 1 if we both win our next 2 games.

Sharks have - Eels away , Manly home.

Friday's game is going to be bloody hard. We will be without JWH, Pearce and Jennings.

Manly will storm out of the tunnel knowing that a loss is definitely the end for them.

Our record against Manly is possibly the worst of any clubs.

did anyone catch Pearce's interview with Weidler tonight?

did he say when he expected to return.

Nope - said he hoped he'd make week 1 of finals, but it wasn't far away at all. Wasn't convincing.

Indeed, and to think some on here thought he was a wasted bench spot.

Andrew Webster last night said that privately the club thinks he may be back for the first week of the finals. He also gave our club good compliment on our culture and success saying that the players yesterday at training were buzzing around like normal and are not letting any injuries after them.

I'm pretty sure Pearce said in the interview that he's felt a niggle for a few weeks, I suspect that was after the tackle where James Graham tried to fold him like a piece of paper.

Many years ago I had to see Nathan Gibbs re a knee injury Upon checking me without knowing my history he told me I had a previous injury in my quad (which was true) and this in turn has led to the injury in my leg. I think your comment here is bang on the money
