  • Worst coaching performances of 2015

I don't want to hate on people but I think there should be some acknowledgement of the disasters of 2015.

Some teams have had key injuries so I guess we can't be too hard.
The top of my list is Jason Taylor but this may be cause I was slightly aghast at the first half performance against the Sharks yesterday. That 40 minutes of footy was a trainwreck. Complete Disrespect for the ball the opposition. If he had coached them I saw none of it on the field. He was upbeat after there crap performance last week and this sent the wrong message to the players. He hasn't got it as a first grade coach.

    Brad Arthur
The eels have been awful. Brad seems to have got off scott free and the media have left him well alone. Cutting Sandow loose mid season and blaming him for the lack of structure,,,,,,,well he has to take some responsibility cause he knew what Chris was like before the season started.

Obviously, Rick Stone has already been punted.

If I was to go for a side doing OK I would go for Michael Maguire at Souths or Des Hasler. both proven to be wonderful coaches but their sides haven't aimed up under adversity.

The Tigers game where Taylor persisted with the back rower (cant remember his name) filling in at centre conceding 3 tries despite his poor defence ....when he had a more than capable centre in Chris Lawrence on the field playing in the forwards ........ worst coaching performance for a specific game of the year.

McGregor's choice of De Belin as half is a finalist.

I disagree with comments on Bulldogs. Two years in a row the Bulldogs have risen against adversity to make the finals, and to still be a chance in last year's grand final well after half time was remarkable. Only the refs could break them.

            1) Parra IMO... they were firing in the first few rounds and Sandow was killing it.

Few weeks later they'd essentially booted Sandow and imploded for no apparent reason.

            2) Manly... they've semi redeemed themselves but given their roster they have under-performed big time. Angry ant deserved the sack. That said, so should all their management for making the DCE/Foran BS so public and disrupting all the other players by doing so.

            3) Tigers actually have a good roster!!! They have so many talented young guns who would be getting far more credit in other teams IMO. I wish we could afford to sign Tedesco out of his misery next year. He's a Roosters fan and IMO could help win us a premiership if we could afford him. It's annoying seeing guys like that coached so poorly and essentially told to 'wing it mate... create some magic and win us the game ay!!'

            4) Raiders... IMO stick needs to come to terms with the fact he isn't a coach. That or he needs to move out of his Yarralumla mansion, move back to Queanbeyan and re-learn what made Canberra such a strong club in the past.

I believe that the problem for the Wests Tigers is that they have possibly the worst forward pack in the NRL and that is very hard to overcome.

The Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles have also been unfortunate with injuries too.

Whoever is coaching the Titans has to be given special mention of showing an incompetence that leads one to believe that there may be mental disease or defect involved.

How about playing Aubbo on the wing? That's up there with Tony Iro at fullback.

Craig wing at shark park deserves a mention

I love Des.......but they should be better placed than they are currently.
McFadden. Let him off cause it's like the cowboys losing Thurston

Rick Stone who has gone to coaching heaven.

Actually has the makings of a good coach, just inherited the wrong team and got screwed around by the naughts board and the wayneker
                        Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"
